Citi Cards City bank rescinds miles when canceling card for fraud Sioux Falls South Dakota

Citi bank cancelled my AA frequent flyer credit card because of suspected fraud. They refused to give me details but I was cut off from having a credit card for several weeks while the reissued. When the card came I contacted them in order to find out the details of why my card was cancelled and the merchants possibly involved. They refused to give me details. I told them I wanted to know which merchants were involved or if it was any merchant I have used in the past (easy to tell as I one use the card at about 9 places). Once again they refused to tell me any details. I reiterated that I wanted to know if it was a merchant I regularly used or not or the new one I had just used in the past two days; once again they refused to give me details. So I told them I was not going to use the card and they told me then they would rescind the 700 or so miles I had charged on this statement unless I kept the new card. I refused and closed the account permanently and they told me they were rescinding my miles.

So Citibank apparently had yet another internal security breakdown, which is why they refused to identify a merchant (I only shop at nine places with this card and one new one I was curious about) and then apparently rescinded the roughly 700 miles I earned for the last month.

Why are we bailing out these jerk offs again? they can keep their credit card and I'll remember this sorry excuse for customer service.
