Clearcredit.com, Identity Watchdog, ripoff Aliso Viejo California

I got a call yesterday from a collections agency First Credit of America regarding a cancelation fee of $59.95 from Clearcredit.com. The man was rude to me and said that if I didn't pay right away, he was reporting me to all three credit reporting agencies. I called the First Credit of America's corporate headquarters in Chicago 866-505-2632 and got all the account information. I saw an entry from Gary in Washington and took it upon myself to contact the Attorney General's office to report Clear Credit. I used Gary's information and found out that the case filed against Clear credit settled in November 2004. However, the Attorney General's office encouraged me to file a complaint even though the case was over and it would be forwarded to San Diego Dept. of Justice for investigation. If anyone else is getting these collection calls from First Credit of America regarding Clear credit or any of its aliases and you are in California file a complaint with the Attorney General online at ag.ca.gov click on contact us and click the link File a Complaint.
