After 12 years of service with Comcast I sold my house  and moved. I went to Comcast office to settle my bill and turn in devices. I was told everything was taken care of and they would send my deposit back after they figured everything out
Six months later I received a bill from a collection agency stating I owed Comcast 42.00. I called Comcast and they said I still had some equipment and I said I was told I had turned everything in, and they said no. So I still had packed boxes in my shed and I went through them and did find a remote device and I called them and told them. They told me not to mail it in because I may not get credit for it. They said the next time I came to town to bring it to the office.
 Which I did. I was treated horrible. Awful customer service. I was upset because they turned me into a credit agency and I knew nothing about the situation, as I was told everything was settled when I left their office, and I was never notified of the situation by mail or any other way.

Customer service said they would send me a check for 40.00 some odd cents 4 to 6 weeks. It has been 8 weeks today so I called and they told me the returned part was never turned in and they would have to research it and it would be another couple of weeks. I was told that because I kept the device for 6 months they were going to charge me for it. (I did not know I had it, and it does not work in the area I now live. I asked for a copy of all the charges and bills and I was told that they could not send a copy of the charges to me and could not tell me anything about my bill.

I  never missed paying my bill for 12 years They are criminals, dishonest, deceptive, extortionist, the new american mafia. steal the money of hard working people to fatten corporate. wallets. I was given a work ticket now it will be more weeks. The same story they are telling me, I read almost the exact thing on the internet about comcast by others they ripped off. And corporate people do not respond, and no one gets their money back.

I am disabled and had people pack my things for me when I moved. I had perfect credit why would I jeapordise it for $40.00? I should have had $100.00 returned to me, but they got it down to $40.00 and can't even show me anything in writing where my deposit went. They even charged me for a week of service after I had it disconnected. And they raised my monthly bill $15.00 the same month I moved Go figure. They are crooks.
