ITS CON-CASTIC

As a sales rep. I know every bit of information about you. Social, Full name, any other legal name used, how much you're paying, what products, what you order on pay-per-view, your watching habits, your phone number, address.....

 I work directly for the sandy office and I can tell you this info is handed out freely and daily. Comcast does sell your info to other companies so that they may solicit you.

Ask to see a "street sheet" when a DSR (Direct Sales Rep) comes to your door. You will be suprised what you see. Even if you don't have or never have had the service your info will most likely be on the "street sheet".

And yes, we are told that we need to close the sale, no matter what it takes...But, that doesn't mean I can actually give you anything more, even though I may tell you that.

Comcast is also going toward full use of contacts. 2 Year contracts. Why? Cause of the lies we tell you and the amount of subscribers we lose.

Why would I give this info if I am a sales rep? Cause my department is being restructured. Which means, that we are all being laid off, and have to re-apply for our jobs. I used to be a premier community consultant, someone who fixed things and didn't have to be a dirt ball. I worked with MDU's (multy dwelling units) apartment management and HOA. I made great relationships that I am know being asked to use and manipulate. I am now told that they networks I have made and the people that I sell to don't matter. Beware Alliance, Metric, AMC, Capital growth, Pental, Wasatch properties, ETC. I will solicit your properties without your consent and in direct violation of our agreement. I will knock your doors, use your name to get in, and harrass your residents into submission.

 I am told by SEAN SPERRY, MARTY BURCH, and especially TROY BUYS that the customer doesn't matter. Tell them what they want to hear and get out. NEXT. Verbatim F!$# the customer, get the sale." "The customer needs to look like she was ridden hard and put back wet."

 I, along with 24 others, was transitioned to full dirtbag sales. Putting effort into this hell whole for the Devil himsel and his love child. Troy Buys and Sean Sperry. Many of us now will be without jobs and all I can say will be free from purgatory, now and later.

Also, this guys are total dirtbags. Troy and Sean will try to involve others into their conversations of having sex with office staff. Although both married and one spuse working with them, they still talk about F%$#ing other women. And, yes brooke, this is the truth. Sorry.

All in this story is true.... Being an ex employee and being force out of comcast by one of Troy's little B3$%h Marty B. I did go to HR and complain about Troy and they just did not care.  HR saids they are there for the employee but let me tell you frist hand that are not there for the employee and also being an ex supervisor of Comcast they are really there for management to cover their a*s.  I did go to HR about Troy and told them about how he belittles and cuss out employees. It did not matter. Yeah!! guys sorry that happen!!   but I'll tell you one thing THEY WILL GET THEIRS IN THE END. all the wrong doings that they have done will come back two folds over. So with that said the three Troy, Sean and Marty plus. comcast HR can just shove it up there a*s with a red hot poker. "PEACE OUT GUYS"

one more thing I watched Troy grab a personal pda from an employee desk and he down loaded some e-mails from the pda to my computer when that employee was gone to lunch yeah Heather Blacks pda. Troy is dirty and back stabing MF in my books

Of course there's two sides to every story. It's unfortunate that "Ralph" had to make it personal and include Sean's Family. Sean is an outstanding guy, he goes out of his way to help those that need help. However his and Marty's hands are tied by an incompetent manager. One who literally speaks way before he's supposed to, threatens, and flat out lies. Promises the world, we've quadrupled your numbers and are paying you the same, but hey it's a pay raise. Only a fool believes his crap. This Current Comp plan hasn't even been approved, further proof that he is unfit to be in that position.

 

It is however, unfortunately, accurate. The MDU PCC not being a part of Salt Lake Market, and thus those employees having to reapply or move positions is essentially being laid off. Whats to happen to those employees who aren't hired into other positions or hired for the new position? Are they going to hire someone who isn't hitting their numbers? It's our fault for whining? Wrong, it Troys fault for consistently over promising and under delivering. Call it what you will, but it's a way for Troy "manage out" people he doesn't like. It's perception, a polished turd, is still a turd. So was that written by a former or current employee? who knows, but their description is accurate whether you believe the hyper bull or not.

 Comcast does "try" to keep it's information "safe" but it's up to those reps to keep that information private. Does Comcast ensure this? No, I bet you can go through any number of PCC's cars and find sales forms with SS#'s and other personal information laying on the floor.

 And yes we are told to knock any property anytime, whether or not its allowed by the contracts. All of those management companies need to enforce their contracts and ensure STRICT following of preset arrangements. Because Troy has and will abuse those contracts and is a HUGE liability for Comcast.

The most unfortunate part of this whole this, is employees are forced into this forum because there is a total lack of any other option. I hope HR reads this, because there is no such thing as an "open door policy". There is a complete lack of any accountability, How many people have to be on write up or fired before you guys take a look at the managment team? People have visted HR and the are retaliated against for speaking up.

I am mostly responding to this report out of disappointment for the way this person addressed the issue in the original report.



I am not one of the individuals listed in this report either



It seems that whomever wrote this is no longer an employee of Comcast, and if they were, they would know that yes their original title of MDU PCC is no longer part of the Comcast Utah market, but they should also know that they were not laid off. Everyone was given the opportunity to become an MDU DSR or apply for other positions within the company. But no one was laid off. Yes we did have to re-apply for our jobs, but it was because the job was re-defined from the original job description that we "signed up for" as MDU PCCs. Because the job was re-defined, it was necessary to re-apply to prevent more griping about "I wasnt hired for this" type talk.



I must admit that losing some of the benefits of being an MDU PCC have been quite disappointing to me, and frustrating as well. But anyone who has worked for a large company such as Comcast will tell you, change is part of corporate life. We were originally created in response to other competitors such as Qwest, Digis, Utopia, and so on. And we were to make Comcast more appealing to customers as opposed to other competitors. Fortunately for Comcast (unfortunately for MDU PCCs) we were very good at our jobs and all but eliminated our competition within the MDU market. This created a need for our job description to be re-defined and change the focus of our reps to sales and retention. But several of the guys on our teams had a hard time with this and began to gripe saying that they were not hired on for sales. If they had not complained and moved along with the flow of things, I feel that we would have just been transitioned directly into the new MDU DSR position.



Now to the topic of belittling Sean, Marty, and Troy. Sometimes as employees it is easy to pass blame for our shortcomings along to management. And other times management does fall short and fails to adequately meet their employees needs. And I would say that both situations are the case here with Barney (original report author). 



I would agree that some things that happen within the company are not always what I would call "fair," but I would call them "life." Things change, and management tries to equip their employees to adapt the best way they know how. Sometimes managers overstep their bounds and say things that they shouldnt. And these managers need to learn to keep their mouths shut until the timing is right. 



Unfortunately some managers within Comcast fuel gossip by dropping pieces of information when the timing is not appropriate, instead of waiting for validation. And they usually drop the information on one employee instead of the whole team. Thus begins the telephone game we used to play as children.



I am not saying that any of these managers are saints, but I genuinely believe that they are trying to do the best they know how.



I have been around these guys for quite some time, and have NEVER heard them tell me to "(bleep) the customer" or talk about sleeping with managers, or to rip them off. On the contrary I have been told to do the right thing, and when necessary they have even issued credits toward customer's bills to make things right.



Finally, personal attacks toward Sean's family are 100% wrong and unethical. If these people are really as terrible as Barney made them out to be, I feel that it is sinking lower than that to write a post like this.



PS: Customer information is not handed out freely and daily. Comcast makes a very conscious effort to safeguard it's customer's personal information and regularly mandates training on how to protect customers from fraud.



Usually employees who write things like this are not employees any longer. And usually not by their choice
