Comerica Direct Express Direct Express Fraud.

I called a Direct Express representative to update my personal information as I receive SSI. Just a couple of weeks later I find $95.45 missing from my account.

I then reported the theft to the fraud department who informed me that the phone number was something I never gave to the first representative who was supposed to update my personal details. Apparently that representative was not supposed to ask for my 16 digit number or the 3 digit code but she did! Direct Express representatives are only supposed to ask for the last 4 digits. I did not know this else I would not have provided the 16 digit number.

Part of my dispute is reimbursed ($15.45), but the 15 Google Play charges each for $5 on the same day (which were not made by me since none of that would work on my dinosaur phone anyway) were not reimbursed. About a month later I get a letter telling me that the charges were authorized and the case closed. I called to query and was shunted around by 4 representatives all LYING about "escalating the issue" and about only supervisors being able to help. After 2.5 hours of frustration I hung up.

The letter stated that only I knew the card number and other information which is false because the first representative I called knew this too. The dishonest woman changed my phone number and made the charges to my account. They were supposed to pull the recorded conversations in which she asked for my 16 digit card number, but I heard nothing about that after the third representative I spoke to informed me they would be looking into it.

Direct Express is a corrupt organization. The representatives themselves are thieves who look out for one another. I will be moving to a new bank soon.  It sucks being homeless and unemployed and to top it all in bad health.
