Commercial Maintenance Chemical Corp CMC Corp, Green Gobbler CMC sent a product I never ordered twice and were extremely difficult when I wanted to return product. Farmingdale, New York

Back in a July a sales man from CMC Corp called saying he meet the owner of our apartment complex at a conference (which our owner never attended).  He tried selling me on the Green Gobbler Drain and Sewer Opener/Degreaser.  I told the sales man not to send me anything and if I want to order any I will call him and let him know.  He called back a week or so later this time offering to break down their normal size into something smaller as a "trail size" and they would only charge $99.  I again said no do not send me anything and sometime later a bucket of Green Gobbler was delivered by UPS.  I called CMC and they said since I signed for the delivery I could not return it.  Since I was stuck with the product I tried it and it did not work as the sales man said it would.

A few weeks ago I received a call from Claims at CMC saying my original package was damaged and a claim was filed with UPS and I should be expecting the rest of my product.  I told them again not to send anything because it doesn't work and I don't want it.  I was told it was part of the original shipment and I would not be charged for this next shipment.  Well the product showed up and so did an invoice for $199.60 plus $53.96 in freight.

I called CMC to find out what was going on and I was told that since I signed for the product I was stuck with it and the bill.  When I tried to resolve the situation it took a few phone calls and several different people at CMC and a lot of run around. 

If you get a UPS delivery of Green Gobbler just tell UPS to send it right back or they will tell you are stuck with it since you signed for it and you should have just sent it back. 

I tried talking to the original sales man and I was told he is not available and I asked to speak with his supervisor and I was told they were not available.  I have since resolved the situation but wanted to warn others.
