After buying the full version of Windows XP Pro 64 bit, I was supposed to get the upgrade Windows Vista Business 64 bit as a free upgrade. I never received it. This was back in 1/17/2007. After chatting with a customer rep. they assured me that I will get the upgrade even though the form stated a hardware was needed to be purchased. I was informed this several times and now I'm not able to get this upgrade. I spent $145.00 on them and now I'm unable to get what they promised me. I could have easily bought the upgrade for half this price elsewhere.
I am unemployed with a limited income and I am not able to afford things like this often. This was money I saved up from Christmas of 06 to upgrade my PC. They will not return my calls, emails, or any replies to let me know what to do about this. They say they will call back but they never do. This sure seems like a scam and I will never do business with NewEgg.com ever again.

OK, wasn't sure how to submit a response but the issue with NewEgg.com has been resolved. I have my copy of Vista 64 but it took a long time, calls and emails but everything worked out OK. Not sure if I will do this again. NewEgg.com is a good place as far as prices, but their customer support needs a little tweaking.

1) I would like to assure you that this upgrade is not a ripoff, and you certainly won't lose your money.
2) By far the best way to contact NewEgg, where they can't avoid you is by their online chat.
Go to Newegg.com
Click Customer Service
Click on the Webchat button.
After they have told you that they will send the upgrade, which I'm pretty sure they will as long as you have purchased it, make sure you get some sort of case/order number.
-Hope this is resolved
