Covenant Hospital Covenant Health Actually " takes," your money Lubbock Texas

Ended up in their Emergency Department after being hit by a car while riding my bicycle. All the contents of my pckets were on a bedside stand, including my wallet. A woman comes in my room, pushing some kind of portable " billing," machine. She asks about insurance, etc. then takes a goes through my wallet, without my permission, takes a credit card and runs it through the billing machine.

I ask her what she's doing, and she replies, " my job". I didn't authorize this, or sign anything. Pure theft. They charged the card $ 500.00. Called the credit card company and disputed the charge. I won! they reversed the charges back to the hospital. If you ever find yourself in this Emergency Department, " hang on to your wallet for dear life!!"
