Covenant Transport They Lie to their drivers and do not refund money to the drivers ripoff Chattanooga Tennessee

I started working for Covenant Transport in May of 2007. I started out in the South East Solo Division On June 27 2007 I went over to the team Board to help a friend who just got off the truck with a trainer and they had to do 30 days with a student and they did not want to be in a truck with somone they did not know.

In them 30 days I taught this person more than their trainer did in 35 days. That is said but true and it does not say a lot for the training department and they are not alone and I have heard alot from other students about the sam thing. Also we had to fight for miles in the 30 days. Everytime we were unloaded it took up to 5 hrs to get another load. This was to be the team XL division but you could have fooled us because we were not getting the miles and we had to fight for what we got.

We were running miles and loads that a solo driver would run and getting a bunch of short hauls. Then it was throwen in our face not once but twice that if both of you had Haz-Mat you would get the loads. But when Hiried on you did not have to have Haz-Mat to come and work for them and now they are saying if you do not have it then you will not get the loads.

Then when my wife had called in to find out why we were not getting the loads and why we were not pre-planed on loads she got her butt chewed by dispatch and that did not go over well for her our my self and I did call in and went up one side of them and down the other and back around. They should not have treated her like that at all. They told her she did not work there and it was none of her bussines what went on with the loads or the Company.

There thing is they will not pre plan teams because something might happen like a break down or something like that. Well when you run solo you are pre-planed and things can happen to solo drivers as well. Then they love to give you loads and then take you off them after giving you them. Or they give you a fake drop date then just before getting to the yard give you a date to drop and when you go to the drop they will not take it because it is the wrong date.

Then when you buy stuff for the truck and send in the paper work you never see your money. They do not give it back to you like they say they will. So everything they tell you is a lie an they do not stand behind what they tell you. Something needs to be done about this company and they need to get people in there that know what they are doing and who will do as they say.

Also god forbid you make them miss there dinner time. One day I got a call about my wife going to the hospital and I was in Ga and was comming to S.C. to pick up a load. I sent dispatch a message letting them know what was going on. told them I would pick up the load on my way into the hospital seeing I had to go right by there. They said that was fine.

When I got there to pick up the load they gave me the wrong pick up number. I sent them a message on this and they sent me a bunch of other numbers that had nonthing to do with the load. I got to the shipper at 2330 hrs and as of 0130 hrs I still had not been given the right load number. I sent them a message and told them they had till 0200 hrs and I was out of there.

At 0200 hrs I still did not have the numbers so I left and told them I was leaveing. Well soon after that I got a phone call and they said they were out to dinner and that they had the numbers but were putting me on a diffrent load. I told them well I see dinner is more importan then helping your drivers get what they need. The person then hung up on me and did not hear anything more after that.

So again someone needs to take a good hard look at this company and take a look at what is going on and how we the drivers are being treated. I would stay away from this company and keep looking before going to this company because you are asking for trouble and will not make anything with them.
