CheckRite rip-off provides people with wrong information about bad checks

CheckRite called on December 28,2001 about a dishonored check which they say I issued. This is fine I tell them to send me a letter so I cam see what they are talking about. When the letter arrives on Jan. 2, 2002 the amount is 90.00 more then they told me on the phone. I call them to explain the reason and they tell me that they sent 7 other letters to explain the collection. I have never received the supposed 7 letters. Then they inform me that the actual amount was 100.00 dollars more then the check was for but the letter said only 90.00. They can not explain this. Right in the letter they say they will honor this for 30 days. After talking to the supervisore with CheckRite I told them I would pay the bill but not until the 18th of Jan. but they said they are turning it over to their attorney because they feel I am unwilling to pay the bill at all.
