You may have gotten a false reading on the other company. You were never late, so there was no reason for them to start collection activities. I can almost guarantee that the first bank would be doing the exact same thing.

There is no law that says a creditor can not call you at work. There are laws known as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act(FDCPA) where you can stop 3rd party Debt Collectors from calling. However, Cresent Bank is considered an Original Creditor so the FDCPA does not apply.

As for Reposessing your car there is no law that says a company has to wait a specific amount of time. Unless you have different conditions written into your loan agreement, they can technically repo the car if you are 1 day late. But most will give you between 30-90 days before they come and get the car.
