I'd never heard of this brand of speakers. A guy called me and said his wife picked them up for 5000, which he says is 1500 less than retail. He needs money and would sell them for 3000 (2 Audiophile 583LR) and a 6.1 THX surround system. I went to his place, and inspected the speakers - they look cool, but are awfully light for high-end speakers. I decided to see what I could find on Audiophile on the internet... and look what I found!

Thanks for keeping me from getting screwed. Check the Aspen Daily News this week - we may have a great investigative story breaking this week!
