Dawn Til Dusk & Russ Park Ripoff Charged me $1000 for a class that did not exist on LI, NY Blommfield New Jersey

After reading the website for Dawn Til Dusk beauty make-up courses, I called the phone number on their site and spoke to Russ Park. I then enrolled my 16 yr old daughter into the course and made the required full payment of $999 via Google Check-out on my American Express. The dates for the course were 8/13-8/17 to be given at the Marriot Hotel, Ronkonkoma, NY , phone #631-612-5000 or 5006.

As the date grew closer I thought it odd that I received no further communication from Dawn Til Dusk. On 8/1 I called the Marriot for directions and found out that they never heard of this company but had recent inquiries of the same nature to my call.

I called Dawn Til Dusk to find out that the 973-342-9195 was no longer a working number. I called 973-757-7788 and 877-383-6253 many times and got voicemail recordings. NO one returned my call. I kept calling until I got Russ Park (is this his real name?) on the phone who told me that the venue was relocated and not to worry and that they'd have the new venue posted on the website and would call me.

The next day no update on the website - no phone call. I called 5 times and left 2 voicemails. I then investigated on-line to see what I could find out (which is something I should have done first) . I found a website www.make-upboard.com. I found a topic with 9 pages of complaints about people in my position with a non-existent course, past employees of theirs that did not get paid, people that kept getting withdrawals from their bank or additional credit card charges. I then checked the Better Business Bureau and found more complaints. I will be filing one there as well.

This is fraud. The guy gets away with literally stealing people's money and no one seems to be able to stop him. CAn you please help me? Help all of us.
