I was looking to work from home to suppliment my income.  I came accross the Direct Commerce Acadedy web site.  I just want to see what it intailed, and to see if it would be something I was interested in doing from home.

I thought that as introduction to the program $2.97 would be a great deal. I was very wrong!  Five day later they charged my account an additional $139.95.  They were to send me a packet in the mail which I did not recieve. The program that they said to access this program are non existant.

I called the 800 number for customer service and the girl I spoke with assured me that they would issue a refund and that it would take 5 to 10 business days.  I waited the time frame and the refund still was not issued.  I gave them a call again then they told me that it was stuck in the computer system.  So the person said they released it and it would be another 3 business day before it would be back in my account. Again i waited still not refund. Again I called Direct Commerce Academy then they told me it would be 72 hours.  Called them again this time I was told that my refund had been denied due their terms and conditions.  Which are not clearly stated in the Web-site.  I requested to talk with a supervisor.  The young man came back stating that I need to fax my contact information to them so that they would be able to see what they could do for me.

This company will give you the run around just to see if you are serious about getting your money back.  I understand that there are chains of command that you have to go through but this is riduculous.  This is how they make their money.  There is no really money to be made with this Direct Commerce Academy unless you enjoy taking advantage of people who are trying to get themselves out of a finantial whole.

Anyone who has been taking advantage of with Direct Commerce Academy should stand up and be counted.  If you are like me $139.95 is alot of money to be giving to thieves and that is what Direct Commerce Academy is are thieves.

So please don't give up.  Stand up and be counted.  Fight back against people and companies that think they can't steal your hard earned money.

I went pretty much through the same.

I am in complete agreement with the writer of this oringinal report.  I also paid $2.97 and was under the impression I was going to receive a package in the mail as it was worded to give one that impression.  I never saw anything that they were going to take additional money out of my checking account.

I originally paid $2.97 almost 3 weeks ago.  I was on the site that very first time.  From that point on, my password never worked, I tried resetting it several times during a 3-week period to where I was supposed to receive an email with the reset password and each time, I reset my password, I never received an email.  Therefore, I gave up and figured, ok, I lost $2.97.  End of story.

However, just yesterday, I looked into my checking account and noticed I had just had $139.95 deducted from my checking.  I had no clue, who, what, where this was all about.  There was an 800 number and this morning I called that number only to find out it was The Direct Commerce Academy.  I was rather surprised.  When I spoke to the girl on the other line, I explained that I did not authorized this and wanted it refunded.  She told me she could not because when I originally gave my debit card to pay that $2.97, I was agreeing to use the site for 5 days of trial.  She said I needed to cancel within this time.  Well first off, I never saw such a phrase and secondly, I could not get back into that site as I stated above as I tried to reset the password several times to no avail.

I did cancel this completely at the time when I spoke with this gal because she said next month I was due for another payment.  Unfortunately, the $139.95 they arlready took from me, they refuse to refund me.  I have gone to my bank and am filing a dispute with this company.  I will not give up until I receive my refund.  I recommend anyone else having had problems with this company needs to do the same.  Do not give up, I see this is going on everywhere and they should not be able to get away with this type of practice.
