We signed up for DIRECT TV in order to get some particular programming. At no time was it explained to us that we were into a two year contract. We were asked for our credit card number to get the account set up and for what we thought was a one time access to the account. When we were reloacted and had to move from Texas to Maryland, we opted not to use DIRECT TV at the new place. Their service wasn't all that great as it would go out when it rained or was really windy.
We were told that we owed the difference between the regular rates and the special rates that we got when we signed up, which was in excess of $300. We were also told that if we didn't pay it, they would just take it from our credit card...and they did. They took extra money out as well for a service that they swear we authorized, but we never discussed. They would not reimburse those extra monies!
We would never recommend this service to anyone! They are still working in the dark ages with two year contracts and they are not up front with all the charges that are in your account.

You signed a contract and did not abide by said contract therefore you breached it. NO I do not work for Directv but I DID read the contract before I signed it. You are responsible for this not Directv.
