Discount Cab total Transit treating independent contractors like crap we are contractors they treat us like we're employees they make us sign a paper for cell phones that say if they get broken lost or stolen whether they're covered by insurance or not we have to pay them $300 these phones only cost about $70 if we don't want to use their cell phone and sign the paper they have because we have our own cell they tell us that if we do not sign the contract and do not take their phones then we don't have a job anymore.we are Forced to use the cell phones we are forced to get paid with a prepaid credit card without any other option if we try to opt out of that they refuse to pay us or say they can only give us $20 of our money but yet we have to pay them $88 a day plus flag drops or we can't work.

When I first started here we were told that as a contractor that we could take the jobs that we want or decline the jobs that we don't want to take now we have to take every job that comes to us and if we refuse to take those jobs then we are fired. Has a contractor I always thought that I could use my own tools work where and when I chose to work and take the jobs that I chose to take and declined the jobs that I did not want to take you're a lot of other things going on in this company but these are just some of the things muscle feel like myself and every other driver and discount cab or being mislabeled as contractors when in fact we should be employees.
