$2oo.oo free gas, nothing to buy, just look at our products and you have 30 days to cancel. Sounds great right? I thought I listened carefully, I got a phone # that the lady said would cancel everything. Just tell them you don't want any programs. As I received info about the programs I canceled them immediately.

I check my credit card statement and low and behold 3 rather large charges$49. 49.90, and the discover enterprises for 39.96. All agreed to cancel except Discover enterprises. Not only would they not cancel or refund but claim that the contract I agreed to would cost me.....get this..........$919.08. They say that their company had a 10 day cancellation period . I never did receive anything in the mail from them in the mail. The number that was suposed to cancel all of them was only for 1 program.

I canceled my card account before the $919.08 charge but they say it will be turned over to a collections agency. I'm really shocked and scared.

My experience with Discover Enterprises

AUTHOR: Gatorfan215 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 13, 2009

First off, about 3 months ago, i received a phone call from some company saying they wanted to send me a gift card and promotional magazine about their products. I said ok, and they just needed my name and address. They never asked for my credit card. i never got anything in the mail about this or a gift card. however, 2 months ago, my card expired, and i didnt need a credit card, so i didnt bother renewing it. I then received a letter from Discover Enterprises, who said that i was being sent to collections because my account was past due. I called the number and a land told me that i had signed up and that i was locked into it for 2 years (almost 1,000 dollars), she told me that i would be put into collections if i didnt pay. She then hung up on me. I googled the company and found several scams articles concerning it, and most of the people said they didnt pay and were fine. The entire company is pathetic, they call me almost everyday now and when i pick up they say "hello this is so and so" and then hang up. Even their collections letter seemed fake. The company at the top, ACA looked photocopied, and it is a pathetic photo copy. I talked to the ACA and they dont even deal with consumer collection. They are a monitoring corporation. These people are scammers, and I just didnt want u to feel alone in this. I know i did when I first got the letter.

Good Luck
