Discovery Camera does not honor advertised rebates. Rebate Ripoff

On 11/12/01, I purchased a Panasonic Cordless telephone through an internet search which led me to their site. It advertised a $50 rebate when you purchased the phone. I verified this when I ordered it.

I did not receive the rebate when the phone was delivered and called their customer service department on 11/15 and told them that the rebate was not enclosed with the telephone and that if it they did not honor the rebate I was going to return the telephone.

I was told the rebate (which was their own store rebate) would be mailed out that day to me. It is now December 9 and I do not have a rebate. I am going to call them Monday and if I don't have the rebate by week's end, I will contest the charge with my credit card company. They will credit back the charge to Discovery Cameras and investigate the claim.
