On April 18th I called 480.893.4831 and spoke to an Amy regarding prices for bundled Tv and Internet via Dishnetwork. I was looking for a better deal than my current provider. I was quoted 61.98 for the Tv and Internet bundle. I was told the Tv person would be out on April 21st and the Internet modem would be sent our right away and installed later that week.

TV was set up and then a person was out to set up a Phone! I told them I did not order phone service. This lead to over 4 hours on the phone with Dish. My inquiry was escalated to a Tom at 720.855.2453. He informed me that the Dish Vendor scammed me. He stated that Internet was  not available in my area, and in order to "push" through the order, the vendor Amy put in a phone service and not internet to make sure it went through and she got her commission.

The price I was quoted of 61.98 was actually now over $81.99 just for the TV. Now had the dish vendor told me I could not get internet I would have not switched at all. Why would I pay comcast for internet and dish for tv only to have a combined total that was more than I was currently paying.

Since I was cleary sold a fraudulent bundle I spent the next 4 weeks calling and being told by managers that I had to pay for the TV, which was now being sold at 101.99 since it was no longer bundeled with internet!! I tried to no avail to state I was lied to and sold a "Fake" bundle that was not even possible and that the records clearly state a phone was added to push through a fake bundle despite me being told I was getting an Internet/TV bundle.

Today I when I saw my TV bill was now a base of 101.99 i lost it. I called and spent another 5 hours being moved from person to person and all of them stating it was my fault I did not read some small print somewhere and that Dish is not responsible for vendors selling their service and getting it wrong. I stated it was clearly more their responsibility than mine for the lie that I was sold.

I spoke with a Marcos and Hector at 303 942 8605  who continued to say I had to pay a $400 cancelation fee! What?? I had to pay a fee for a service Dish set me up with that did not exist??? Tom got on the line with me and told Hector exactly the fraud that was done to me and that he agreed with the customer and they should let me out of the contract. Hector told Tom to disconnect from the phone which Tom did. Hector than did what every other Dish rep did and put the blame on me. He offered me 10 off each month. I told him I am still paying well over what I originally was paying before I made that fateful call to Amy in which I was quoted 61.98 for Internet and TV.

After letting him know I was recording the call, he stated I did not have permission to do so. I told him I had Tom's permission and had him on recording stating the lie that Dish had sold me and stating I should be allowed out of the contract at no cost to me. Then I told him I would file with BBB and blog all over the place it they did not honor their deceipt and let me out of the contract. He then quickly said, fine, you can get out of it at no cost. Now I will believe it when I see it but in summary, Dish is very very dishonest. They claim no responsibity for the people that sell their service even if one does not get the services they think they have ordered. I am amazed that they claim I am at fault.

What a dishonest company. I called Amy at the number I originally used to set up the service and they would not reply.

Dish will not honor their mistakes and treats their customer horribly. Stay away!

DISH=PURE INCOMPETENCE

So after receiving a letter from Shelley Antrillo Dispute Resolution Specialist Executive Escalations Team DISH Network, L.L.C. Phone Hours: Monday -Friday, 2:45 pm to 11:15 pm MST (720) 514-7249  apologizing for this obvious inept mistake ( of course only after I filed a complaint with BBB) and removing this from my credit report today I received a NEW collections for the SAME mistake that Shelley Antrillo stated she corrected!!! This is past unbelievable! At least now I have the letter from her explaining DISH NETS incompetence and I have the CLOSED BBB complaint in which she states she has corrected this and apologized. I now have to fax all this over to the NEW collections agency and all of this crap starts AGAIN! The new agency stated that on 3.28.2014 this will be on my credit report!! DISH should be sued for this! I have spent so so so much time since JULY of 2013 trying to get this resolved.

WARNING: KEEP ALL DOCUMENTS WHEN DISH SAYS THAT AN ISSUE IS RESOLVED AND WHEN THEY APOLOGIZE! IT DOES NOT MEAN YOUR ORDEAL IS OVER!!!

Still A Mess! DISH is a criminal business

Thought everything was resolved with DISH Scam company. Afer receiving a letter in July stating I had NO BALANCE I began getting calls from their collection agency Receivables Performance Management stating I had a balance of $90! It is now DECEMBER and I am still trying to get this off of my credit reports. Collection Agency refuses to accept the letter on DISH letter head stating a zero balance. They will NOT call DISH to confirm this is DISH's screw up. I have spent about 10 hours on the phone with DISH who will NOT call the collection agency to fix this, they just say I have no balance. Now they want me to send them my credit report!! I asked why in the wolrd would they need documentation that summarizes information THEY sent the collection agency. I told them the collection agency said DISH needed to call them, DISH will not do this stating it is not their protocol. I asked them could they make an exception ONE time for the customer they screwed over but of course DISH has no interest in what is good for the ex customer. I finally sent a screen shot of the credit report showing the issue. It was only when I called and explained I had filed complaints with BBB, Gov. Consumer Agency, and Oregon Attorney General that they finally sent my call to the the Office of the President. That was a joke as they said they needed my credit report.........AGAIN I asked the woman Elizabeth Garza to explain why they needed ME to do all the work, for me to send the credit report that showed what THEY sent to the credit agencies......She was like a robot and just said that is our protocol but could not give me an answer. They obviously have all the paperwork they  need since they sent it. I asked her to just pick up the phone and call the agency, i provided the name and number.......NOPE. Dish could care less about their customers. My credit score dropped 15 points. I have written all the credit agencies, the collection agency and filed complaints with the 3 main consumer agencies. DISH even stated they have my zero balance letter, confirmed I had no balance, have admitted the bait and switch, well one guy admitted it but will not just call the collection agency. I have spent over 35 hours working to get this resolved and it is still NOT resolved! This is a NIGHTMARE business that should be sued by everyone they try to blatantly rip off. THeir apologies mean NOTHING because I still have this on my credit report and it still sits in collection.....DESPITE DISH admitting I have NO BALANCE!!! How can this be? It is soooo unfair to the consumer and has to be illegal as h#ll! I am now committed to blogging and posting anywhere I can to warn people of their criminal activities. Warn your friends and anyone you can that DISH cannot be trusted with any of your information. They will not work hard to fix their errors and have no interest in the damage they do to customers credit! My experience was a classic bait and switch, I thought this was a crime? This is my update to my above post. BEWARE OF DISH!!!!

D at Dish.....

This seems to be a very very common practice by Dish, it certainly cannot come as a surprise. I will keep your contact information since for me it has not been resolved until Dish shows me data that no cancellation fee has been charged and they aknowledge getting my equipment back. ( BTW...did everyone know you have to send back the ACTUAL dish part on your roof, along with disconnecting the node off of your house?) Strange.......

Anyway, I climbed the roof and sent back all equipment, and yes took pictures of all of it in the box with a time and date stamped photo. I so do not trust this company. If Dish really wants to improve its image it should start by taking responsibility to the vendors that sell and practice bait and switch all in the name of Dish and not hold it's unknowing customer responsible for Dish and it's vendors fraudulant practices. I went through 8 people all spinning the same crap, this is not a one time happening, it clearly is the base practice at Dish. I was soooo tired and frustrated by the end and only because I endured the endless hours on the phone with the threat of recording the call was I LUCKY enough to have worn out Hector who reluctantly and rudely let me out of my contract. It is obvious this is the common practice of Dish, wear out the customer, keep telling them they signed the "TV" portion of the "Bundled" contract they were sold and do not let them out....even though a "bundle" is NOT what they received...only promised to hook them in. I' was given the SAME exact lines by each of the 8 Dish Reps over a 6 hour period..............6 HOURS! For each of them to spit out the same "phrases and lines" only states it is the practice of Dish. You really should just not treat people like that and waste our time for deceipt on Dish's part.

BTW: For Oregon folks who have been sold "Bait and Switch" services like I was, I contacted the Oregon State Attorney General and in Oregon you CAN get out of your cancellation fees since Oregon recognizes Dish's practice as Bait and Switch. Write the ATG and they will follow up. They are aware of this practice and will help you with it. Unfortunately for everyone else most states will not step in.

I am not done blogging about this practice and will share my story every where online and in person that I can find. This is wrong on every level and Dish should be held accountable to it's illegal practices.
