Don McGill Toyota Sold me a Lemon Houston Texas

On 09/11/07 I bought a 2001 corolla from Don McGill toyota on beltway and I10. For a used car buying experience it was pretty typical. The car was making a noise under acceleration which the dealership promised to fix and I took the car in about a week later to get it fixed and the noise went away, so far so good right?

Fast forward to 10/20/07 I was returning from a camping trip and the car starts lurching violently and making horrible noises. I took the car to a trusted mechanic since Don McGill already had their shot at things and apparently failed miserably. The mechanic calls me back this afternoon and tells me that the transmission has almost no fluid in it and that the transaxle is toast (time for a new transmission). So in about a week from now, and $1200 later I should have a running vehicle.
