EASI, Energy Automation Systems ripoff business opportunity scam Hendersonville Tennessee

They claim they have installed over 80,000 energy systems but when you try to talk to any companies they won't or can't give you any information.

They have just recently put some so called references in there so called training manual because they were getting so many complaints from other dealers, still no phone numbers so you can't talk to any of the companies in person.

They also claim every business out there is a potential client, another false claim. You can only make some money on the large electric bills, $20,000 plus and you will still not see the 40%-60% profit margins they claim you will get.

They also claim customers will save between 15%-30% on there electric bills, you guessed it, another false claim. I have talked to several of other dealers that took there so called training at the same time I did. It's almost a year later and not one has made a sale yet.

When I asked for names and phone numbers for other dealers they would not supply me with any. So I took it upon myself to track some down, I can't tell you word for word what they said on this site, but these dealers are very upset and disappointed and feel they can't do anything about their situation.

They tell you in their so called training class you will have full support of the company when you leave, you guest it again, another false claim.

I emailed and called with questions several times and got no reply, not a lack of trying on my part. Their support system is a joke. They also have a very high turn over in staff,I mean high. If it is such a good company why are so many staff members jumping ship?

These dealerships are not cheap,$29,875-$39,875. Yes, thats dollars people. Easi clearly does not care if you sell jobs or not, see how much money they make selling dealerships. When you ask them how many dealerships they sell comparied to jobs they get in, guess what, they won't tell you.

They will not sell you a territory, stay clear of companies that do this, they want to flood the market. I have talked with more than one dealer were Easi has sold their company salesmen, dealerships right under there nose, now ask yourself do you want to be involved with a company that works like this, I hope your answer was no.

Easi will tell you that this an easy sale to make, that's another false claim. If you are not a electrical engineer or an electrican stay clear of this rip-off. The very few active easi dealers that are still out there don't even buy equipment from easi anymore.

Easi has been scaming hard working honest people out of there money long enough. They need to be stopped. Lets get the lawsuits underway, file your reports, get involved, because together we can make a change, we have rights.

Joe Merlo is scared of ripoff report

AUTHOR: Bill - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, December 14, 2006

Energy dealer fires back against ?rip-off report'

By Jared Allen, jallen@nashvillecitypaper.com

November 12, 2006

After enduring year's worth of inflammatory accusations of fraudulent and shady business practices on a consumer watchdog Web site, a Hendersonville company is firing back, suing the Web site's administrator for defamation, conspiracy and racketeering.

Since 2003, Energy Automation Systems, Inc. (EASI), has been mentioned numerous times on the Web site ripoffreport.com. Ripoffreport.com bills itself as a site ?by consumers, for consumers, to file and document complaints about companies or individuals who ripoff (sic) consumers.?

A number of such consumers have used the site to lash out at EASI, a distributor of energy-saving equipment.

EASI employs dealers to market its products, which are designed to reduce the energy usage of everything from light bulbs to appliances.

It is these primarily dealers who have used ripoffreport.com to levy their complaints and frustrations against EASI and its CEO Joe Merlo.

Recently, a posting from EASI's ?corporate counsel? who identified himself only as ?John? popped up on the site, as well.

According to that posting, a small group of individuals who seek to disparage and destroy Energy Automation Systems, Inc. (EASI) have posted derogatory and defamatory messages this Web site... These postings have been made, in large part, by a few disgruntled former EASI dealers. To create the appearance that numerous dealers are unhappy with EASI, those few former dealers frequently post messages under many different pseudonyms.

Now, the fight has moved from the Internet into federal court, where Nashville Attorney John R. Jacobson last week filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee on behalf of EASI.

Claiming the owners of ripoffreport.com have both published as well as written ?numerous false and deceptively misleading statements of fact concerning EASI, its dealerships, and its employees,? Jacobson, on behalf of EASI is suing the site publisher for defamation, violation of the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act, interference with business relations, civil conspiracy and racketeering.

?Defendants' conduct has caused EASI to lose at least two dealership sales, which individually sell for approximately ?$40,000 and has damaged EASI's business and reputation,? the lawsuit reads.

EASI has also asked for an immediate injunction against its name being published on the Web site.

Xcentric Ventures, the owners of the domain name ripoffreport.com, have 30 days to answer the complaint.

Just Doing Their Job

AUTHOR: Harold - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, December 07, 2006

You can make all your wild accusations about the attorneys and the officials in Tennessee if you want to. They are just dooing their job.

If Merlo is a crook, he is the guilty one. OJ got off a murder charge, Joe Merlo is just an old fashioned con man. His attorneys aint no Johnnie Cochran. Just doing their jobs.

Merlo will die long before any of you ididots touch his money. Hell, his attorneys probabley got more off it than you fools will ever toch.

Get om with your life. If there are more fools willing to line his greasy pockets, that is their probllem.

Attorneys Aid and Abet ripoff

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 28, 2006

Merlo has hired powerful attorneys who have paid off many Tennessee officials to help him continue this fraud.

Until the Feds get involved the officials in Tennessee will continue to allow people all over the country and throughout Canada (specifically, the Toronto area) be defrauded.

All your complaints are falling on deaf ears with the ongoing corruption in Tennessee. The Governors people and the long term effects of Al Gore in Tennessee are being felt by people to honest to understand the pitiful corruption of the state of Tennessee.

I Almost Dove Into EASI

AUTHOR: Craig - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, November 25, 2006

I am so happy I came across Rip-off Reports. I was conducting research on Easi for several days, talking with EASI's corporate office about purchasing the EASI Dealership. I was just putting the money together when I made another attempt to research EASI and I came across this article about EASI.

I didn't make the plunge, giving my $40,000 away. I will save it for a secure business opportunity. I did notice that EASI said they will not reveal any dealers, they would only tell me there were two dealers in Washington State.

Thanks for the information and saving me my hard earned money!

Craig

Glad to see others are catching on

AUTHOR: Don - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, May 01, 2006

I am glad to see that others are finally realizing what a scam EASI really is. If you need more information about this business opportunity fraud, ask around for a guy named Scott near Toronto. He has apparently gathered sufficient information about the scam that Joe Merlo and his lawyers help perpetuate and you should know everything he has if possible.

This is a big fraud and it's time has just about run the course.

Good luck all and I am glad you found out about this fraudulent scam in time.

I REALY wanted to get into this business and thought that EASI has all the answers and credibility to make it happen for me. Listen to me, they do NOT.

AUTHOR: Michael Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, April 30, 2006

WOW! Many thanks to you..

I have been reading this site now for months after my research on EASI came across this site accidentally. I was scheduled for a late 2005 dealer training class and I just could not get these reports out of my head! I REALY wanted to get into this business and thought that EASI has all the answers and credibility to make it happen for me. Listen to me, they do NOT. They may have products that do work, BUT their staff has a serious lack of experience from what my trip to visit them told me and from what I hear from other dealers, past and present, they do not care about support. AT $40,000 per dealership, they do not have to!

Investigate the industry completely before you do anything. I can only say thank you to the original poster of this report as it saved me a ton of time and money. I am pursuing other avenues and am very happy. Thank you ripoffreport for this service.

Thanks again.
