Wow, I used eHarmony maybe about 7 years ago and they were great. After my divorce I decided to join again. First off, even with a free membership, you can do literally nothing. Every photo is blurred and its difficult to get an idea of who your matches are. Now when signing up for the membership plans, the pricing looks great, until you read the fine print. They charge either a lump sum of a few hundred dollars, or there is an option which I did to pay around $65 a month, and you are charged every month for a few months. There is no basic monthley plan, only multiple month subscriptions.

Now getting to the famous compatibility test. This test used to have really great questions to get to know yourself and your matches. Now the famous eHarmony algoritm test has been reduced rediculous questions and answering which pictures of lines and squares look more pleasant to view (not lying, seriously).

After completing my test, I was shocked to find only a few matches, and over the few days, never got more matches. The matches I did have said their last login was either from 2 weeks to a month ago, meaning they are no longer users on the site. I live in Las Vegas and there should be a lot more matches for me than that. The bottom line of this paragraph is that eHarmony does not contain no where near the amount of users as a few years ago, and you are mostly being matched with people with no photos, or people that no longer are active members.

I decided to cancel my account, but there is no option to cancel. I talked to two different custom,er service people, both of which refused to let me talk to a manager, and said there is no option to cancel. I have the option to remove my profile, but I would still be charged around 65 dollars a month until Feburary!! (August 2021 at the time of contacting them). So basically when you saign up, you are stuck with high monthly payments, no option to cancel, no option to talk to a supervisor, and no option to stop any upocoming payments even if you remove your profile from the site.

If you check out BBB and this site as well, you will see that I am not the only one this company is ripping off. They don't have enough users on the site, so they changed their buisness model to ripping off users and not allow them to cancel their accounts, charging them regardless. Please stay away from this site. I reccommend anyone else in my situation report any charges from them as fraud, reverse the charges on your card, and do NOT let eHarmony get away with a scam that is no longer about dating.
