Emerge Mastercard/ Providian/aspire ripoff company, 29,99% interest/not a good contact phone number, all hours collection calls rude/ hangup on you scam Atlanta Georgia

totally a rip off deal when providian was sold to emerge mastercard. I have all my records where I disputed the account being sold to emerge. continued to make payments to providian and they were never credited or sent over to emerge.

approx 5months later got a call a collection person saying they were from emerge mastercard. Which i said I do not have a credit card from emerge and they said the late fees on the account was adding up and now I was several hundred dollars behind. Immediately tried to contact providian and with no real answers they said the account was with emerge and they could charge whatever interest rate they wanted. Sorry to say I continued to catch up what emerge said I owed and paid the 29.99% interest charges.

Started writing letters to providian and emerge and with no response, just the calls from the collection department threatening to give them a debit card number orcheck number to pay. I done this for 4 yrs/ paying their late fees putting up with their threatening calls until I found your site when I searched for emerge mastercard and located you and found out there is hundreds of people they have done this to.

My account with providian was $2,100.00 in the year 2000. Even though I have paid for almost over 4 years of their interest charges, late fees, harrassing calls,rudness they still have not made enough money from just me. I am a pack rat and I save everything and I dug out all my bills from providian with recorded receipts of payment/interest agreement and also the notification of when providian was selling to emerge.

Between providian and emerge they has collected over $9,000.00 off of me and my husband and still trying to collect since I had a stroke in Feb. of 2005. Their calls come from morning to night sometimes 3 times a day, with their threats, rudness and now I am fighting back. I have made several reports to the attorney generals office of Ohio, Consumer complaints division on the hours they call harrassing statements. Hangups and now they call and say they are aspire mastercard and get all mixed up and call 10 minutes later and say they are emerge mastercard.

They really got their accounts mixed up , what name are they going to use next. They have collection people now calling from Utah. I have kept a record of every call, ask where they are calling from and a first name. Now they want a lump sum payment to give me no interest for 3 months. What is up. Why is someone not checking this out. They are abusive verbally. I will not give up now. I have wrote letters notifying every agency I can and gave them your web site to check this out. Where are the lawyers to help us there must be enough of us for a class action law suit. Thank you
