After working for Empire Medical Training and Steve Cosentino I can only say that honesty, ethics and fair play do NOT come to mind. This dispicable man is not human. He is a ruthless, money hungry, scam artist. I have not worked for them for some time but, after realizing how bad my situation (and many others) at this company was I simply have to do something. Im sure by now you've read all these Rip Offs and, yes, they are ALL true. I can verify that. To say the least the business is a scam. They dont deliver services promised, they bait and switch, they instruct their employees to lie in order to sell. Anything goes at Empire- as long as it makes Steve Cosentino money to fund his addictions.
Steve is the main cog in the wheel that is Empire. I agree with the other authors that, yes, he is a violent, unpredictable, drug addicted manipulator. But that may be the least of his problems. Im not going to concentrate on Steve- please read the other Rip Off Reports to read the TRUTH about him.
I cannot discuss all of the things that went on, unfortunately, as I am getting the FBI involved regarding money laundering, misrepresentation, etc. I have also notified the Department of Labor regarding employees being shorted on their paychecks and denied overtime. I have also informed them (and provided all documentation to back up my claims) about employees being shorted and/or denied repayment of travel expenses. I have already submitted paycheck stubs to the DOL and am excited to hear back from them soon.
I have also taken the liberty and notified the Equal Employment Opportunity Comission regarding the blatant homophobia, sexism, racism, and bigotry that I witnessed when I was employed there.
I encourage any and all of you (and I know there are a lot of you) to stand up for your rights and join me in making sure Steve Cosentino gets ALL that is coming to him- weather that be fines, jail or both. This man has ruined many lives and pocketbooks in the past and I cant continue to stand ideally by. So Im not.
Im also, through an attrorney beginning a class action lawsuit against Mr Cosentino and Empire Medical Training for various wrong doings. I will provide more details here as they become available. Many of the doctors that have been cheated and lied to have already been contacted and Im sure will follow suit with me.
Please take a stand and contact the EEOC, FBI, DEA, DOL, local police, etc regarding this companys wrong doings.

Cosentino had a drug issue that is ongoing. He lost his pain practice from his addiction to opiates. He is a great scammer though. You will not see this on his license. He was supposed to attend rehab and stop practicing. He got out of the rehab. Still on drugs. Still has a license. That is how screwed up this world is. They should have taken it away from him. He needs to be stopped.

Unfortunately I can attest to all this

I wish I didn't have to do this, but I too feel that it is an injustice that this man is still allowed to do business, or to practice medicine for that matter.
Bigotry: I have been instructed several times to BS job applicants who were black or homossexual into thinking the position was already filled. He hired an african american once, but constantly belittled him and treated him poorly until one day he fired him for absolutely no reason.
Money Laundering: In order to get cheap labor for his website business Rx Medical Web, he had his Father-in-law set up a business in Peru which he would pay (that's when he felt like paying someone) as an outside contractor, shipping money through Western Union in order to avoid any Work related taxes both in Peru and the US.
Bounced Checks: I had may paychecks bounce several times, had travel expenses that were never paid for, and noticed a pattern in this, the checks bounced or he would ask the employees to hold them, whenever he was travelling some place for the weekend, either for a training or on vacation. He once took a trip to Fiji, and left all the employees without knowing if they were gonna get paid or not. But the worst I seen him do was with one of the employees which he owed several thousand dollars because he was working as a contractor. This employee never got paid as far as I know.
Bait and Switch: this was common practice at both Rx Medical Web, AAOPM and Empire Medical Training. I remember onbe instance when they had a special going that the first 10 people to buy a Membership with Empire would get a free iPad 2, well there was no iPad 2, there was never an iPad 2, whenever someone called and asked for their deal, he'd instruct the representatives to just say that they didn't make it into the first 10. With Rx Medical Web, the bai and switch was constant. He would get a new client on one Marketing plan and then suddenly change the plan around so the company wouldn't have to do as much work, while the client was still paying the same amount.
Lying: Well above all lies I think the biggest one is AAOPM, or the American Academy of Procedural Medicine, the real reason for it's existence is so people who are unhappy with Empire Medical Training, would sign up for Empire Medical Training courses, without knowing. They say you get a certification after taking a test, but the certification is make believe and it holds no value whatsoever with any medical association.
Money Laundering: Steve and Bill Horninger shuffle their money around through their companies, in order to make it seem like each of the companies have less money then what they actually do. On the topic of fraud, I've witnessed many times where he has written off personal expenses taking through the company as business expenses. A big example of this are the workshops they do in mountain towns with ski resorts, they almost never have anyone sign up to those courses since they are in remote locations, but he still goes through with the courses anyways, takes his wife and stepson with him, to enjoy a weekend of skiing and then writes it off as a business expense afterwards
I can not attest to his drug abusing though, as I have never witnessed it, and only had suspissions about it. I have never before have dealt with another human being with such mood swings, and so aggressive. He doesn't deal with anger like a normal person would, he throws tantrums, punches walls, yells, flusters, and sometimes over the most trivial things. I've seen him flip off because one of the employees asked too many pertinent questions.

Attention Doctors and Nurses thinking of doing training with Empire Medical Training

Just a few more things...to all the doctors, nurses, etc who are reading this please take notice!!! You will REGRET dealing with this company. Maybe not at first, but at some point in your relationship you WILL have a problem and it will be swept under the rug by Empire. Please look up their "doctors" who do training. Be sure to check with the Department of Health to see if they are a) Not suspended and /or b) are even real doctors. The main instructor William "Bill" Horninger is NOT a doctor and has NO medical training. He is an accountant. Many other physicians who teach do so because they are suspended by their medical boards or department of health. In addition to the agencies I have contacted in the above report, please join me in reporting Stephen Cosentino to the Florida Department of Health. This man has broken his Hippocratic oath and only seeks to cause harm and do damage to other doctors careers. He has NO intention to be of useful service in the Medical Community only harm. I beg of you thinking of doing ANY business with this company to reconsider. When Scott (Consentinos alias) does a rebuttal to this truthful report instructing you to "go to YouTube and to empire medical training dot com and see the testimonials to see for yourself" please remember that these are solicited testimonials. Why would a company go so far out of its way to have so many testimonials? Good work speaks for itself. There's no need to talk someone into the purchase. But with Empire there is most definitely a need for testimonials as they are "damage control". As I said these testimonials are solicited and the only reason Empire needs them is to mask the truth of this and other websites. Once again I beg you to reconsider having ANYTHING to do with this company. You will assuredly regret it. They are like a plague that takes down anything it comes in contact with. Don't let yourself be the next victim.
