EMPIRE TODAY LLC showed us one carpet grade at sales and negotitation time, then delivered another grade of materials at install. They repeatedly missed their promised install dates and times, damaged our home during the installation, delivered sub-standard and manuf defective carpeting, sent non-english speaking crews who could not communicate with us, seeded our driveway with hazardous materials,then tried to charge us more money to get what was promised us initially.

We have tried to work with Empire to resolve the problem over the last 45 days, and they have had an independant state certified inspector verify the installation errors and defective carpeting, but Empire will only agree to install the same sub-grade materials to replace it unless we pay them more money.

Our promised "Next Day Installation" in now in month two and we still have incorrectly installed and defective carpeting, We have spent dozens of hours on the phone trying to get Empire to fix this to our satisfaction, but Empire refuses to replace our installation with the correct materials and says they cant do anything else for us unless we pay them more money to upgrade the materials.

Looks like we will have to sue to get Justice from this company. DONT BE FOOLED BY GLITZY JINGLES OR PROMISES OF NEXT DAY INSTALLATION AND QUALITY PRODUCTS> Empire has failed to provide either for us and we are now stuck with cheap, poorly installed carpet for thousands of dollars, sold as High Quality carpet and pad.

Buyers beware of the Evil Empire

FINAL COMMENTS:
EMPIRE TODAY returned our full purchase price for the bad carpet and installation as promised after 3 months of argument. We hired another local company to redo the job. They gave us the exact Mohawk Stainmaster carpet and padding we asked for, stuck with the same quoted price, delivered it when they promised and installed the entire job correctly with english speaking pro installers in under 6 hours.

Our experience with EMPIRE TODAY was a nightmare we would not wish on anyone. We could never recommend them after what they did to us and our home. Hopefully this concludes our experience with them for good.
BUYERS BEWARE OF THE EVIL EMPIRE!

EEEEK EMPIRE TODAY!

UGH UGH UGH I've used these people as well and got the same horrible shoddy service. When I read your sentence about the non-speaking crews coming out I had flashbacks like a bad acid trip. Obviously they're going with the cheapest labor possible, but at the end of the day it must hurt their profit margin when they have to continually come back to fix things, or as in my case, bring other people in to actually SEE the problem since dude couldn't communicate on the phone or in person.

It was the WORST experience EVER and I would stick needles in my eyes before ever using them again. They threw a few hundred bucks at me too- big freakin' deal when you're left with a crappy job. They went on and on about the quality of their laminent flooring, was a crock, that cheap stuff buckles at a teardrop- they totally suck- GOOD LUCK

EMPIRE says goodbye

After stating our requirements to resolve our dispute to the local office, EMPIRE TODAY, LLC states that it prefers to refund our money. We were contacted by an EMPIRE representative today at start of business who states our check will be in hand for the full amount within 14 days. We are relieved that we will get our money back and will file a final report here once EMPIRE's check has cleared our bank.

installer requirements / final chance

Both inspectors Have informed me(the consumer) that any installer I allow into my home should have government issued IDs and be able to communicate clearly in my native language which is English and to my total understanding.

Again, these things are a necessity for me the consumer to be able to make an educated choice on what products and people that I will permit into my home at any given time. Proof of US citizenship is of course a top priority matter of todays homeland security defense measures. I will not settle for anything less than is Constitutionally Correct.

It is my right to have this information as a home owner and citizen of this country.Anything less will not be tolerated. Regards, wife of origal author.

Here is my final request for satisfaction. Here is the criteria: The carpet I choose is Mohawk Carte Valley. Stainmaster. Color is Pioneer. Top of line Pad with stain resistance. 20 year warranty. I Will not accept same installers. I know who they are. You have twice sent them out and I have damages by them. The new team will speak English as I am English speaking. I need in writing that any damages that should occur during this final chance will be covered by Empire Today Carpet co. Ronald, you said " Give them whatever they need to satisfy them " I will hold you to this. I expect for you to also pay for the independent inspection I have had done. Im not sure what it takes to get you to come up to the plate, I'm only trying to get a product and service with QUALITY.

Please let us know your decision as I need to get this mess in my home taken care of. One way or the other. Regards, wife of author.

Let me get this straight, you hire substandard labor, you do a bait and switch on the customers carpet, and you try to extort more monies from the customer for the initially agreed upon carpet. Your history here for everyone to read on this website. So Ronald you state you are after complete customer satisfaction. Well if this were true, you would NEVER EVER even attempt tricks and scams like you constantly do. Your company is repulsive, and the only reason you are on this website is an attempt at damage control. Trust me all the people who search for your name on the internet will be reading these reports and will do the only smart thing and that is to avoid your company, and others like it.
