Enterprise at Denver Airport filed a bogus claim with me stating the car I rented (for 24 hours) sustained damage to the trunk. (FALSE)

I drove the car directly from Denver to Colorado Springs and had it back in less than 24hours. I pulled the car in the carport rushing to catch my plane back home and the guy checking in the car informed me that there was damage on the car. I told him well clearly it was there when I rented the vehicle (please note the few dents he referred to were so faint and so embedded in the white paint even as he pointed them out to me I still couldn't detect the 5-7 dents on the trunk).

To make this story shorter, I'm sure enterprise mailed me a letter prior to my flight leaving Denver, because 5 days after I got home I received a letter demanding 200.00 for damage sustained to the vehicle I was driving. (I was mystified and pissed). Clearly, I called and disputed the demand letter immediatley. Basically, the company was suing me for HAIL DAMAGE sustained to the vehicle while it was in my possesion.

Just one small issue (IT DID NOT HAIL WHEN I HAD THE CAR!!!) They included the invoice (I'm sure by accident or at least I hope so, as all they had to do was check the weather report) from the body shop and HAIL DAMAGE was written in the description section.


So I filed the dispute (I did have photos of the car as well, but never had to use them). Two maonths later they sent me an aditional invoice with additional charges (this time they were tagging me for documented, known damage). This was COMICAL!!!


About a month later I received a form letter stating there claim was being DISMISSED and sorry for any confusion or trouble... blah blah blah.  The point of this story is this NEVER EVER EVER RENT FROM ENTERPRISE, they are unethical, crooked, and very shady in nature. This is just one documented case but I have another story about the cleaniness or lack there of with the cars they rent. THEY SUCK!! Renter beware!!! And always ask for the INVOICE.
