I had to take my Mercedes to Tysons Corner Mercedes Dealer for a warranty repair. The dealer did not have a loaner car. They have an Enterprise agent there that rents cars to customers when there's no loaner. He gave a SantaFe 2019 and advised me to leave the keys in the car when I return the car to the dealer because they would not be there. That Enterprise location closes at 12 PM. My car was ready in two days. I dropped off my car at dealer after work at 5 PM. The rental car was undamaged when I returned it because I inspected the car, and it was clean and in the same condition that I had received it. I left the keys in the car, picked up my car from the dealer and went home.

The next day, I got a voicemail from Enterprise that the car was damaged and they'd file a claim on my insurance! I was suprised becasue they car was not damaged when I returned it. Immediately after that I got a call from Geico that they had receieved the claim and they were investigating it. I told Geico what had happened and that I was not responsible for the damages. They asked me to send them the rental agreement and that I should not pay until they do their investigation.

A couple of hours later I got an electronic bill from Enterprise with a $250 charge on my credit card for the damage deductible!!! I was shocked! I had never seen this before. Such a ripoff company! They had charged me for a damage that I had not done and a claim that was still under investigation!

I called the Enteprise office and spoke with their agent called "Miranda Mitchel". She was very rude and unapologetic over the phone and told me I was responsible for all damages until the car was received by them, even if it takes many days after I drop it off! I told her that their agent had advised me to leave the keys in the car and leave the car with the dealer. She said she didn't care and it was not their problem! I told her the way she was treating me was absolutley not acceptable and she was crossing the limits by the way she was speaking with me as a customer.

I asked to speak with her manager, and she said she was the manager. i asked to speak with her supervisor, and she said there's no supervisor! I was shocked! How does Enterprise let their agents get away with something like this!

This whole thing is a ripoff! Even Geico was shocked by the fact that Enterprise had charged me $250 for the damages that I was not responsible for and while the claim was still under investigation!

I demand an apology for the agent and demand that Enterprise return my money and close this claim! This whole thing has become a headache for me and very upsetting! I called their customer service and they took notes. But I have not heard from them. I am not even sure if they'd look at this. They just want to charge you for whatever they can. These big companies are swallowing money from customers and getting bigger and bigger everyday, and I have to pay for their extravagant marketing campaings.

This is a total RipOff!

Enterprise Fraudulent Damage Claim on my insurance

AUTHOR: Ehsan - (United States)

POSTED: Friday, November 09, 2018

I had to take my Mercedes to Tysons Corner Mercedes Dealer for a warranty repair. The dealer did not have a loaner car. They have an Enterprise agent there that rents cars to customers when there's no loaner. He gave a SantaFe 2019 and advised me to leave the keys in the car when I return the car to the dealer because they would not be there. The enterprise office is right across the street at closes at 6 PM, but the agent, Mohit Dhingra, did not mention that and saif the Mercedes location closes at 12 PM, and he asked me to leave the keys in the car and leave the car at the dealer and the dealer would take care of it. My car was ready in two days. I dropped off my car at dealer after work at 5 PM. The rental car was undamaged when I returned it because I inspected the car, and it was clean and in the same condition that I had received it. I left the keys in the car as Enterprise agent ahd advised me, picked up my car from the dealer and went home. The Enterprise agent did not explain to me that their office was across the street and I could've dropped off the car there because they close at 6 PM, and he also did not explain to me that if the car was damaged between the time I dropped off the car and the time they picked up the car the next day, I was responsible for the damage! They don't explain this becasue then it will be a huge source of income for Enterprise!

Read the rest to learn how they use this make lots of money! This is a ripoff! The next day, I got a voicemail from Enterprise at 8:13 AM that the car was damaged and they'd file a claim on my insurance! I tried to reach out to them immediately but no one answered the call. I was suprised becasue they car was not damaged when I returned it. Immediately after that around 8:30 AM I got a call from Geico that they had receieved the claim and they were investigating it. I told Geico what had happened and that I was not responsible for the damages. They asked me to send them the rental agreement and that I should not pay until they do their investigation. A couple of hours later I got an electronic bill from Enterprise with a $250 charge on my credit card at 8:39 AM for the damage deductible!!! I was shocked! I had never seen this before. I had not even authorized them to use my credit card for this. They had my corporate credit card on file and they can gone ahead and charged that without authorization! Such a ripoff company! They had charged me for a damage that I had not done and a claim that was still under investigation! This is none sense!!! Why woudl they charge me $250 for something I am not responsible for and on a card that was not authorized!

This is fraudulent! I called the Enteprise office and spoke with their agent called "Miranda Mitchel". She was very rude and unapologetic over the phone and told me I was responsible for all damages until the car was received by them, even if it takes many days after I drop it off! I told her that their agent, Mohit, had advised me to leave the keys in the car and leave the car with the dealer. She said she didn't care and it was not their problem! I told her the way she was treating me was absolutley not acceptable and she was crossing the limits by the way she was speaking with me as a customer. She asked me to remember her name! I was stunned! How dare their agent speak with a customer like that! How would they let their agents get away with things like this!!!! I asked to speak with her manager, and she said she was the manager. In fact, I got her contact info and she is an assistant manager (See pictures) i asked to speak with her supervisor, and she said there's no supervisor! I was shocked! How does Enterprise let their agents get away with something like this!

Enterise is letting their agents treat customers like this because they know the customers can't do anything about it! This whole thing is a ripoff! Even Geico was shocked by the fact that Enterprise had charged me $250 for the damages that I was not responsible for and while the claim was still under investigation! I called the office and spoke with "Miranda Mitchel" and then with a guy called "Howie" and asked them to remove the charge from my corporate credit card and put that on my personal card until this is resolved. The next day I checked my credit cards and not only had not they removed the charge from my corporate car, they had charged my personal card twice! See below! They are stealing my money like that! I am callign the credit card company to file a dispute on these charged! I can't believe this is happening to me! These agents are trying to take a revenge because I told them I had contacted Enteprise and have disputed the charges. I demand an apology for the agent and demand that Enterprise return my money and close this claim!

This whole thing has become a ripoff and headache for me and very upsetting! I called their customer service and they took notes. But I have not heard from them. I am not even sure if they'd look at this. They just want to charge you for whatever they can. These big companies are swallowing money from customers and getting bigger and bigger everyday, and I have to pay for their extravagant marketing campaings. No one has contacted me from Enterprise since! Their headquarters is closing their eyes on thigns like this. There's no one taking care of customers. Their customer service doesn't do anything. I am doing research to find out how I can file a complaint with the state or with feds about customer service. so far I have been charged $750 (three $250s) on two cards for a damage that I have not done! Is there anyone listening to customers at Enterprise! This is a total RipOff!
