In November of 2010, my business was approached by a sales agent for a company called EPS90.  The pitch:  They can set up a 90 day in-house financing program for our customers.  The customer post dates checks for their payments, the checks are scanned into a terminal for conversion to an ACH withdrawl on the date specified and I don't have any worries because EPS90 guarantees the checks.  CALL ME A SUCKER!

I have experienced nothing short of outright theft by this company.  First, they do NOT guarantee payment as they said.  Their "policy" is that they only guarantee check volume under 5% of the total amount of the dollar transactions that they have processed.  Had that fact been disclosed at the time of sale, I would NEVER have considered doing business with them.  To date I have over $8000 in uncollected funds and I'm on the hook for a $4800 lease on a terminal I can't use!  Repeated calls, emails, and faxes have proved useless.

The only advice I have is FIND ANOTHER SOLUTION!  This company is poor at best, bordering on complete fraud.  Do not believe a word they say.  There is no support from a company that should be shut down fraud.  EPS90 90 day financing is a complete joke, at best, and a complete ripoff without a doubt.

People should be able to take the word of the Reps. The reps should not say one thing and have another thing signed. Due diligance is crap when you cant trust what the person is saying. EPS stole from our small business and seem to steel from a lot of people. We did what we were supose to and still they stole. I have started an EPS Are Scammers Facebook page, like and share. The more people we warn about their unethical business practices the better.

Your comment provided more information than either your contract or your rep!  EPS did NOTHING to help with the collections, AS SPELLED OUT in YOUR AGREEMENT!  EPS is quick to place blame on an uninformed merchant but takes NO responsibility for the actions of the company or the independant reps.  Bottom line, EPS did not fulfill the promises or the terms of the EZ Financing program.  EPS hides the names of its officers for one reason, they are all CROOKS!  I had to live up to my obligation and pay for the overpriced equipment, for which EPS made a tidy profit when the lease was sold to another crooked company, LADCO Leasing.  Countless phone calls, hours of wasted time and losses in the thousands make it easy for me to say, STAY AWAY FROM EPS!  There are many better alternatives to these bottom feeders.

EPS has refused to honor their agreement and fulfill their responsibilities.  Period.  I have honored my part of the agreement and they haven't.

I cannot comment on the credit cardprocessing by EPS because I do not use their servce.  I can only comment on the my experience with the no credit check system.  THEY set up the system in my business.  THEY incorrectly programmed my terminal.  THEY lost over $5000 of submitted checks.  THEY took no responsibility for collections  as they said they would (READ in their agreement).  I could go on but you consider that service?  The experience I had with EPS was a disaster.  They have refused to offer help.  I am not a customer who can't be satisfied;  I am a business owner who expects EPS to honor their contract with me.

I guess endless hold times, incompetent and rude staff, representatives not getting paid and wanting to switch my account to a "better" company, and charging fees for accounts which are closed are all signs of a professional company.  Amazing how EPS will take the time to try and rebut the awful experience I've had with them, but they won't take the time to discuss the situation with my company.  Rather, ignore the unsatisfied customer and play it off as a mistake that I didn't read our agreement is just another excuse on the part of a company that neither monitors or has any ethical oversight on their independent sales reps. EPS is a prime example of why customer service departments are moving overseas.  It's cheaper to pay someone there who can't help as opposed to someone here who won't help.  Thanks for showing your true colors, EPS.

EPS Best Credit Card Processing Company - Highly Recommend EPS

I have been a customer of EPS using their credit card processing services for the past 4 years & when my contract was up I decided to research other credit card processing companies, not because I wasn't happy with them (i was) but I wanted to see if i could save money.  Through my intensive research & quotes from 6 others, I found that I am indeed getting the best rates available in addition to the standard fees all being lower with EPS. 

I was shocked to see complaints here on RipOff Report so decided to read through them all.  After reading through them & EPS rebuttals, I have come to the conclusion that EPS is still a great company & i will continue to do business with them as they have done everything possible within reason to rectify these complaints & I applaud that.

As a small business owner I also know the golden rule that the customer is always right, but let's face, sometimes they really aren't. I believe all businesses have encountered customers who no matter what you do to make them happy they simply will never be satisfied & I've come to learn over the years that those are the type of customers a business is better off without.  I have never in the 4 years of processing with them had my bank account debited any unauthorized or unusual amounts & don't believe they would still be in business if that were really the case.

I have had very good experiences with EPS & decided to post this as it doesn't seem fair for any business to get their reputation trashed because of customer complaints from not getting their way. EPS customer service has always been very polite & helpful when I've had questions. I even used their tech support once which saved me from losing sales when my system went down over the weekend & a real person answers their support lines 24/7.  Needless to say, when evaluating EPS against other companies, they are not only by far the lowest cost & but also the best service so I decided to renew my contract with them. I even added their No credit check payment program & am looking forward to offering this new option to my customers. 

I would highly recommend doing business with EPS!

Seriously- READ before you sign a legal contract

Call 9 News to report what?  That a consumer didn't do their due diligence when signing and committing themselves to a legal document? 

It's rather sad that people don't take the time to read documents before they sign them & then want to blame someone else for their own ignorance! Take responsibility for your own actions, or lack thereof, instead of ruining someone else's reputation.

and let them know what happened. Englewood is a suburb just about 20 minutes south of Denver and if you send 9NEWS a copy of your Ripoff Report, with a contact #, they might do an investigation into what happened. Many of the stories on 9NEWS come from their viewers.

Give it a shot! Maybe 9NEWS could go undercover and expose any type of 'hanky-panky' that might be taking place, right?

EPS is a very reputable company which prides itself on customer care; we partner with our merchants to help their business succeed and are very sorry this particular merchant is so apparently unhappy.

Following is the excerpt from the contract which the merchant read, understood, signed and agreed to.
3. EPS 90 - No Credit Check Easy Payment Plan Conversion - With Guarantee
(s) Merchant shall not have returns for any reason that represent five-(05)% percent of total
dollar volume for any period. In the event that Merchant exceeds the five-(05)% limit, no
check instruments will be available for guarantee until Merchants aggregate return rate
returns to below the stated and acknowledged limit.

This threshold has even been increased to TEN - 10% to make it even easier for a business to remain within the return guidelines.

In addition, an effort to ensure there is no misunderstanding of any conversations between a sales person and a merchant, the contract contains an additional section to ensure merchants are fully aware of the guarantee terms and conditions of the program.

Section 6 Miscellaneous
(c) Representations made by the Independent Contractor or their employees, representative
or any other persons associated with them that are not expressly contained in this
Agreement ARE NOT VALID and do not apply. EPS 90 makes no representations outside of
this Agreement. If you rely on representations made by Contractor not contained in this
Agreement you are doing so of your own free will and at your own risk and shall not place
any claim of any sort on EPS 90 for such reliance.

There is no theft or fraud from EPS, the EPS90 No Credit Check EZ Payment Plan is truly a great product which helps thousands of businesses nationwide not only increase their customers but also increase their bottom line.
