ER Solutions has a Robert that calls and makes threats claiming we owe Paypal money. We do a lot of business with Paypal everyday and I asked them about it and they do not have any record of any problem or money owed.
When I ask "Robert for some details he says he cannot give out any information unless I give him my SSN which of coarse no one would give to a strange voice on the phone. But that does not stop him from him threatening me saying he is going to ruin our credit if we do not pay $325.00
We asked he to send details by mail and he will not do it, I asked him to verify who he is and that he works for ER Solutions and he hung up on me.
ER Solutions sounds like a Nigerian fraud attempt to me, who are these people? They do not even attempt to be professional in anyway and hopefully companies like Paypal will not do business with them they are nothing but modern day pirates that prey on good people that do not know better

#2 Consumer Suggestion

Supervisor / Dispute it

AUTHOR: PabloDiegoJose - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, December 05, 2011

Dear Steve:

Hi!  What happens is since there are some people out there that pretend to be the consumer they have a verification procedure to go through if you refuse sometimes their company's policy is to NOT give you any information. I would suggest trying to verify sometime else such as your DOB, last 2 of SSN (instead of last 4), or your current mailing address.  That should be sufficient enough for their verification purpose.

If you DO NOT want to speak to this Robert guy, then I would just call their regular 1-800 number and ask for a supervisor (don't call Robert's extension or direct line).  They should be able to transfer you to a supervisor.

If you don't know anything about the debt, you can dispute it in writing.  I recommend sending it certified to their address.  Put in your own words about your dispute, and if you're requesting proof, ask for it.

They're a collection agency, and are collecting supposedly for PayPal, so what they are supposed to do once they get your dispute letter is to STOP collection efforts and UNTIL they get proof from PAYPAL (the creditor) that you owe it, they cannot call you again or send a letter demanding money. That's why it's important to send the letter now. Their 1st letter gives you 30 days to do so.

Robert just called again, he still refuses to give his last name or forward the call to someone else that will help me. He is a real piece of work, I wish I could send that "True Grit" guy after Robert.
