We believe Fairbanks Capital Corporation is fraudulently charging late fees (ours is $145)! Our payment is mailed in plenty of time, yet somehow, mysteriously, it takes 10 days in the mail to get from California to Arizona.

This has happened more than 5 times since our mortgage was transferred from Equicredit to Fairbanks! What a ripoff! What is going on??????? What is our recourse???????????

Please file a complaint with the California Dept. of Corporations at 320 West 4th street
Los Angeles, CA 90013-1105. That's what I did and they are currently investigating my complaint. Maybe if everyone that Fairbanks services in California does this, the state authorities will wake up and do something.
