Financial Benefits ripoff took my $299 and never sent credit card! After many, many lies, mgr & staff hang up on me anytime I'm able to get through. I was contacted by Financial Benefits in Septemeber, 2003, and was promised that I would have a credit card and access to the money again within 20 business days after they drafted my bank account for $299 on october 3, 2003. I never received the card.

After several attempts to contact the company, (the line is constantly busy, and if it's not, hold time is 30 minutes minimum)I finally reached someone and was told that I had to receive their package first, sign the authorization form, and send it back to the bank, whereupon, they would print and send a card with my name on it. I never received a package.

After several more calls to the company, I received the package about a month later, with no form in it, and nothing but a bunch of junk. I called again and was told the form comes within 1 week after the package arrives and that, after the package, they turn all of our information over to the bank that will issue the card, and that they work with so many banks, they have no way of telling me which bank it would be. I also asked each time I called if I could be refunded the money, and was told each time that refunds are only given if the client is not approved for the card, and I was.

I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau on November 6 and, suprisingly, I was contacted by the QA Department at Financial Benefits. She asked how they could make the situation better and if they had refunded my money! I told her they had not refunded my money, although I had asked several times, and she gave the same answer I had been getting from all the other reps. I told her I want a card for that money, and she told me they would send it and asked me to withdraw my complaint. I told her I would when I received the card, and she hung up on me.

Since then, I have tried calling many times. Calling these people takes hours, and anytime I have managed to reach someone, I am told my info is too old and I am no longer in their system. Twice I have been transferred to a manager, and twice, she hung up on me before I had a chance to say a word. I have still not received any type of refund, and further calls to follow up on the BBB report, and still no card, of course.

Rip-off Report has been contacted by the owners of the company, they said those who have asked for refunds should see them no later than Monday morning or sooner. Credit to your account can takes 4 to 5 days to actually hit your account ,
They again apologized for the delay. We'll see. Rip-off Report is hoping they will live up to what they have promised, we think they will. SO you know, Rip-off Report has confirmed 73 refunds so far, and we know there should be many more.
