I decided to give FingerHut a chance when looking for an armoire/wardrobe closet, mainly because of the prices. I decided to order a double door wardrobe closet from them and put it together, however once I received it there was a million pieces which were all so cheaply made that they didn't hold up anything, the directions were confusing, and the actually closet looked cheap and unstable.
So I decided after a while of trying to put it together and make it work, that I was done, so I'm just gonna return it. I called their customer service number - 1800-208-2500 to ask about how to go about returning this item. I was abruptly interrupted and told that I had been rerouted to the delinquent account department because I was late on my payment.
I was shocked of course, and I said No, my statement says that my payment isn't due untilt he 20th, so that's incorrect. The lady debated with me saying that on her end it says it was due on this date, and I'm telling her well my statement clearly says the 20th. I can fax it over to you if you like.
I asked to speak with a manager as it seemed I wasn't going to get far with this lady, she then told me all the managers are in a meeting. (This is the answer you will always get when you ask to speak with a manager) I said "ALL of your managers are in a meeting???" I knew that was bogus, so I said I'll hold. SHe then puts me on hold, comes back 5 mins later with a manager that tells me the same thing, but she gave me the fax number. So I faxed it over and waited for a call the next day, I missed the first call while at work, and when I tried to call back they said there is no one here in this dept by that name, you need to contact customer service. I asked how to do so,a nd they said to call the 800-208-2500 number, when I said that is the number I just called, I was told that you were rerouted because you're late and the automated program will not put you through to customer service.
So at this point I'm thinking this is absurd, first of all I'm not late, and Im trying to contact the woman in customer service that left a VM to call her. The lady kept saying I understand that, but you were rerouted here because you're late on your payment. Then I asked well can you transfer me to the customer service dept,and I was told we cannot do that. BS!!! This went on for 3 days and I was constantly "rerouted" to the delinquent dept, instead of customer service. When I asked are you guys saying that I will never be able to talk to customer service, they're response was "You can contact them, you have to dial 1800-208-2500.
I repeatedly told them that was the number I dialed and I kept getting put through to the delinquent dept, she said that the only way to get customer service was to pay the past due amount. I then told her again that it was not past due,a nd that is the reason I'm trying to reach customer service. This was the WORST customer service I have ever experienced, they are terrible. Not to mention a lady tried to pretend she was the manager at one point, but I caught her because I asked for her name and I was hung up on once also.
