Concetta Gardner Manager of the Downtown San Jose Fitness Evolution came up to me while i was working out and said my technique was wrong and that she wanted to talk to me about changing my workouts.  I went to talk to her in her office and we talked about my fitness goals.  She said she wanted to help me get to where i wanted with my goals. I thought she would just help me figure out what to do better.  She then starting asking how much i could afford for a trainer.  She gave me big numbers and I said no i can't afford that.  So she asked what i could afford and i said maybe 250 for a month.  She said ok that would be 6 sessions for a month.  I said ok i will try that.  Then she had me sign something, appartently a contract.

She never explained that it say 6 months on it.  I do admit i should have read it before i signed it.  But she i was under the impression she understood what i wanted.  I called the next day to give her my atm card number.  I was supposed to get a trainer to call me.  But that took 2 weeks, and i know now that i could have cancelled after 5 days.  Funny how that happened.. Anyway i started with a trainer named JB, and i had 2 sessions, in one week.  I contacted Concetta that i wanted to stop with the trainer like i originally told her.  She said no i signed a 6 month contract.  First time i knew that.  I told her i didn't know that i signed that for 6 months.  I thought she would say that's ok we can stop i understand, but no she too bad you signed the contract.

After sending several emails to the corporate office telling them what happened and never getting a response. They also have a phone number you can call but no one answers, you can only leave a message. No one ever got back to me.

After i had 2 payments of $250 deducted along with the $19.99/monthly, i decided to stop payment throught my bank.

Concetta called me this morning asking why it didn't go through and i reminded her of our originally conversation.  She said she remembers the conversation and she wouldn't have done that.  Well i said i obviously wouldn't have asked to stop if i would have known i had a 6 month commitment.  She said they will still try to get the money.  I said i will dispute it.

I have joined another club and i will never sign up for training sessions again beware!!
