Flat Rate Movers, LLC Estimate was 3x the original price Doraville, Georgia

I would like to make everyone aware of a family member of mine experience with Flat Rate Movers, LLC. They gave my mother a great estimate on what it would cost to move her items based on an itemized list they asked her to provide.

 Once the pick up day came they looked at all the items and quickly collected the money order of close to 1,000 for down payment the remainder of the money which would be paid on delivery. After the mover started rapping up furniture and putting items in the truck he says the cubic ft is bigger than what is listed on the form (I'm thinking you didn't notice that before taking the money and putting stuff on our truck).

After informing us about that he creates a new estimate three times the original price, over $4,000. Of course my mother refused that and they made a deal to take the items that equal the original cubic feet. So now its been almost one month and my mother still has not received her items. Every time she calls either not answer or she gets a different delivery date.

The last time she spoke to someone from the company they said that they are waiting to fill up the truck. My thoughts are (no one mentioned before that the truck had to be full to make the trip that was not in the contract). Which in my opinion means that they never thought my mother would have refused to pay the additional cost.
