Foreverwed Charges an Excessive "Small Order Fee" on top of Exorbitant Shipping Costs; Hides Fees in Fine Print Marysville Washington

On 05/12/2005, I ordered items FW4774 and FW4009-1, at a total cost of $25.90 from ForeverWed via Order Number 13490. I understood that in addition to this amount, I would pay $12.90 in ground shipping charges. Although this shipping amount seemed very high, I was willing to pay it for what seemed like a high-quality product.

My Order Confirmation arrived immediately via e-mail, informing me of a correct total cost of $38.80, to be billed to my personal Visa card. On 05/16/2005, my Credit Card was billed $43.80, which is $5.00 higher than the amount specified on my Order Confirmation.

I immediately contacted Deb in the Customer Service Department, who informed me that I was billed an additional "small order fee" of $5.00. Although this was hidden in the fine print on their web site, it was not included in the total price specified on my invoice or in my Order Confirmation.

I replied to Deb to express my dissatisfaction and to request a partial refund of only the $5.00 fee, and received no response.
