Fred Loya Insurance, A.K.A. Loya Insurance Company, is the worst insurance agency I have ever dealt with. I should have been more prepared for their horrendous customer service after hearing two other claimants complaining about Fred Loya Insurance, A.K.A. Loya Insurance Company, at the repair shop. After hearing what the other repair shop customers and workers had to say about Fred Loya Insurance, A.K.A. Loya Insurance Company, horror stories I was concerned, but thought 'they must have been at fault.' I was sure that Fred Loya Insurance, A.K.A. Loya Insurance Company, was going to work with us, right? Wrong!

My experience with Fred Loya Insurance, A.K.A. Loya Insurance Company, has been so terrible that it makes me wonder if this is standard operating procedure for this entity. Their poor customer service leads me to wonder if, Fred Loya Insurance, A.K.A. Loya Insurance Company, automatically denies certain claims in hopes that they won't be fought in court. Think about it. If Fred Loya Insurance, A.K.A. Loya Insurance Company, denies most every claim for minor fender benders, relying on the fact that court action might not be worth the trouble to most, they might save a great deal of money.

If this is true Fred Loya Insurance, A.K.A. Loya Insurance Company, doesn't that mean they are breaking the law?! Fred Loya Insurance, A.K.A. Loya Insurance Company might be gambling that their legal fees, in possibly handling those few who take the time to go to court for smaller claims, could be less than actually subrogating in a just manner. The math could work out for Fred Loya Insurance, A.K.A. Loya Insurance Company, if it's done often enough.

Fred Loya Insurance, A.K.A. Loya Insurance Company, might end up paying a little more in legal fees, but most accidents, which are mere fender benders, can be denied knowing that many won't fight their corporate greed. Fred Loya Insurance, A.K.A. Loya Insurance Company, could possibly save much more than they spend on lawyers in the long run if this is what they are doing.

What's even scarier is that Fred Loya Insurance, A.K.A. Loya Insurance Company, does a great deal of business with the Hispanic community. Are they preying upon undocumented immigrants in the same way? What if Fred Loya Insurance, A.K.A. Loya Insurance Company, denies the claims of undocumented immigrants in hopes that any involved in an accident would be too scared to go to court to get the issue resolved? If Fred Loya Insurance, A.K.A. Loya Insurance Company, treats undocumented immigrants in the same way my family has been treated then I can see them raking in the cash off the backs of poor Hispanics.

In our case Fred Loya Insurance, A.K.A. Loya Insurance Company, placed every hurdle possible in front of us to discourage our efforts to resolve our claim and recover our damages. Fred Loya Insurance, A.K.A. Loya Insurance Company, denied our claim before getting the police report. Even though the insured lives in San Antonio, the claimant lives in San Antonio, and the accident happened in San Antonio, Fred Loya Insurance, A.K.A. Loya Insurance Company, assigned someone in McAllen, Texas (258 Miles away from San Antonio) to handle the claim.

Imagine if this happened to some poor immigrant who had no idea what rights were available to them. Fred Loya Insurance, A.K.A. Loya Insurance Company needs to do better. In my opinion people should never, never, never, do business with Fred Loya Insurance, A.K.A. Loya Insurance Company, unless you are hit by one of their insured. And if that is the case, I feel your pain. Know your rights. In Texas the agency involved in filing complaints is the Department of Insurance, (main agency info 800-578-4677) (consumer complaints 800-252-3439). I called them and will file my complaint tomorrow. Also, don't be afraid to sue their a*s off. Can you say class action?! My guess is that what is happening to my family occurs more often than people think it does. Avoid Fred Loya Insurance, A.K.A. Loya Insurance Company at all cost.

Don't Use Fred Loya

File a TDI Complaint for resolution

AUTHOR: Mr. Doe - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, June 13, 2008

I'm sad to say that the company of interest is Notorious in Texas for "Un-paid Claims". It boggles the mind as to Why Texas allows it to continue to operate. The only way you will get your claim properly processed by this company is to file a complaint with TDI, aka "Texas Department of Insurance". You can do this at their web site, They have an online form for convenience and believe me they do adress each and every complaint they receive.

Typically the Insurer will receive a notice of complaint from TDI within 2 to 5 days of your filing it along with a 10 day response demand from the department. The insurer must respond to the depertment within 10 days of receipt, failure to respond will subject them to hefty fines by the department and possible forfieture of their Insurance License.

As an Insurance Agent I've seen these notices and no agent or adjuster will take them lightly. You will usually receive a contact from the insurer within a day or two of the company receiving this notice from TDI.

I hope this will be of help to you.

Fred loya Claims department is a joke

AUTHOR: TEXASgirl - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 02, 2008

First of all, I understand what the claimants are going through. I used to handle claims through this company. First of all, this company is only concerened with getting a quota. They push their employees to obtain a quota at the end of the month. All they care about is closing claims. By closing the most amount of claims, you earn a bonus. At approximately 10 am ( everyday) adjusters ( employees) are required to attend meetings that are held by the managers. The managers were constantly berating us and pushing us to close more claims.

secondly, they require adjusters to make bodily injury offers to people who have been injured in accidents. Usually, these offers start from 50.00 and cannot go over 500.00. It is wise that people involved in accidents hire attorneys or contact their insurance company to handle their claim.

Thirdly, Fred loya insureds cause most of the headaches at our department. when they were in accidents, most of them didn't cooperate with us. We needed to take their statements to investigate and most of the time they didn't cooperate. When they refuse to cooperate it stalls the claim . ( unless there is a police report)

Fred Loya Company is not even helpful to their own insureds. Whenever their insured is an accident, the insureds usually call asking what type of coverages they have or whether Fred Loya will pay for medical bills. The problem most of the time is that these insureds usually get the basic legal liability limits allowed by law. The Fred loya agents never advise them what type of coverages they have or what the insurance will pay for. Insureds call the company and complain. I place the blame on fred loya agents for not providing quaility customers service or training.

Another problem I always encountered was how disorganized fred loya appraisers were. They never go out to inspect the vehicle when they are required to. Claimants and insureds constantly bombarded me with phone calls asking why hasn't the adjuster come out to the facility.

at this company, I saw a lot people come and go. Most of them quit ; others were fired because they didn't play ball . I was fired for expressing my point of view to the manager. ( a male employee was promoted to a position that wasn't posted. even other employees didn't have a chance to apply for it. ) I was happy to have left that company . Im no longer miserable but I was unhappy for being unemployed for a while.

My advise to the people ( consumers or claimants) please call the police when there is a accident. Never admit fault at the scene of the accident; get witnesses ; if your are really really hurt , don't settle your medical bills with them ; call an attorney . Never ever get into accident wiht someone that has fred loya insurance.

HAPPY EX-EMPLOYEE

AUTHOR: Mother Angelica - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 01, 2008

You are so correct. I am a former employee of FLI. I was "let go" for doing my job as a licensed adjuster and paying claims fairly; instead of low-balling the settlements. It wasn't so much that FLI wanted us to deny the claim but they did not want us to pay what was fair. Bonuses (an extra paycheck per month) are based on who has the most closures; and the criteria for closures include payouts under a certain amount, for example $2500 for a BI (bodily injury) claim regardless of the injury! It could be anything from a minor soft-tissue injury or a broken bone, we were only allowed to offer $2500! And then we get "financially rewarded" if we do a good job at ripping off innocent victims!

I am a much happier person now that I no longer have to face this crooked company. In fact I collected unemployment for as long as I could (compliments of FLI I won all of their appeals and trust me they appealed each time)! while at the same time attending school so I could get out of the insurance business; after working for this scam artist company I had no desire to work as an adjuster again, even for a good company.

The Claims Manager is Rick Trevino and above him is Edgar Meza; both of whom I feel sorry for their wives because besides being unfair to innocent victims they also cheat on their spouses; everyone at the office knows who they are sleeping with, hence the "promotions". But even that didn't bother me, so what that was none of my business & I could care less. I just wanted to come to work & do my job & go home. But I could not, in good faith & good conscience, rip-off innocent victims. And in the long run I came out ahead for doing the right thing. So thank you FLI!!
