Geico Insurance Unfair treatment and unethical ways Lakeland Florida

I was employed with this company in 1999. I was moved into the Imaging Department and was the only employee in this department at that time. It eventually expanded and I trained all new co-workers. During the years, I had mastered all the on hand knowlege and processes of this department with the hopes of it becoming a separate department and needing a supervisor. A few years later, it did. Company policies state that all job openings are to be posted. This position was NEVER posted.

I found out that the lead out of the Records Department (Jill) was given the position by Tim, Department Manager. This, of course, made me angry because I never had the opportunity to post for this position.
As time went on, I trained Jill in all aspects of the department since she knew nothing about it. If she had an email from Macon or Plaza, she would have me give my input, and she took the credit for it.

When problems with the system happened, I was the one who dealt with Plaza. Jill did none of this.
I, as well as the other associates in this department, thought Jill and I were good friends as well as employees. We worked great together.

I had a good report card as they called it and all my production reports wer above and beyond. My dependability was 99.8

One day, in August 2004, out of the blue, I was taken into HR by Andy Kerler and then was told I was being taken out of the department. I was put back into the mail center, which I felt degraded. I knew something was wrong that day, but did not know that my Supervisor was stabbing me in the back until this happened. It floored me to the point my doctor took me off work for anxiety disorder brought about by all this. I was off work for quite some time.

I am now unemployed, thanks to them. After my surgery in June 2005, from the car accident, I was limited on sitting and standing. The Imaging Department was centralizing to Macon. I was in the Mail Center and my position was posted and filled. I was told I had 30 days to find another position. If within that time I found no other position, I would be terminated. I new I could not take a phone position due to the sitting and anxiety. I was terminated Jan. 26,2006. They mailed my Exit Package for me to fill out, and I let them know exactly how I felt. I stated I did not voluntarily quit.

DID THEY CARE? OF COURSE NOT. Jill got her way and kissed up to them to keep her position, which is now gone.

What goes around, comes around.
FAIR TO THEIR EMPLOYEES. DEFINITELY NOT. VERY UNCARING. NOT FAMILY ORIENTED AS THEY STATE. ONLY FOR THEIR BUTT KISSERS.
