Geneva Roth is an on-line lending company. My Whole experience was a complete nightmare. My experience began with myself applying to see if I qualified for a loan. I never agreed to any loan, it was just an inquery. Later I found an extra $300.00 in my checking account and after researching I found that Geneva Roth deposited it without any agreement between us. I needed the money so I didn't dispute the deposit.

At the same time I received an E-mail from the company. It explained that every two weeks I would be charged an extention fee of $90.00 until I payed the debt in full. Keep in mind that they will continue to take the extention fee automatically, every two weeks, until the original loan and fee are paid in full. Basically, I could have paid the $180.00 per month for the rest of my life and still owed the $300.00 loan and $90.00 fee.

As soon as the money is deposited, it becomes impossible to contact anyone in the company. The phone number just takes you to a voicemail where no messages are replied to. I personally left around 5 messages and no-one would contact me. Trying to communicate through e-mail is an equal waste of time. I had sent numerous e-mails with no reply and the whole time they are basically stealing $90.00 every two weeks from my account.(remember I never even agreed to the loan) It seems that the companys goal is to avoid customers and hope to collect as many extention fees as possible. They say that the only was to make arrangements to pay the balance is by fax, but I could not get Geneva Roth to provide the form, even though I sent multiple requests via e-mail. I could find only one way to get some kind of reaction. I suggest using this tactic to all people being swindeled by these theives.

I sent an e-mail to Geneva Roth with specific detals on how I planned to handle the issue. I told them that all I wanted to do was pay the loan in full, which I had all intentions of doing. I explained that this was my final attempt to resolve the situation and I would not attempt to contact them again. I told them that if they didn't forward me the fax needed to pay the balance, that I would be forced to empty my checking account and close it, leaving them no way to steal any more of my money.

By some miracle, I received an e-mail within 24 hours with the link to the fax sheet. In this message, they tried to blame me for the situation. They claimed to have sent the form numerous times which just was not true!

All of this took so long I ended up paying 3 extention fees ($270.00) on top of the original loan fee of $90.00. This equates to about 125% interest,, which I thought was illegal.Even though I got completely ripped off, I am one of the more fortunate of Geneve Roths customers.

Here is a quick summary of what the average person can expect fron Geneva Roth. You inquire about a loan which is deposited into your account without any notification or agreement. Immediately the clock starts ticking on your extention fees. All e-mails and phone calls will go unresponded to. ( don't expect to get a person on the phone when you call, I believe it is only a message center). The only thing these people react to is the possibility of not having full access to your bank account. If and when you finally force someone to contact you, they try to place blame on you for their unethical practices.

You will never have a harder time getting a company to let you pay your bill. Geneve Roth is a complete scam!!!! If you are currently being scammed by these people, you only have one option. It may feel unethical to threaten to not pay the loan back, But it seems to be the only way to get them to let you pay the balance and end your relationship with these disreputable people. For anyone considering using this company. think again. The goal of this company is to be as unavailable as possible and to collect extention fees for ever if possible. For anyone currently battling these scam artists, act fast and sternly and remember, they only react to the possibility of losing access to your account. That is the only card we hold as the customer.
