After the realization that my bill did not go through with Georgia Power, I immediately tried to repay it on a Friday. The bill still has not gone through which I can only assume that it is because it is a Friday and will be pulled through Monday. I don't know why my original payment did not go through (as Georgia Power keeps saying it was a check "bouncing" but I do online payments) so I contacted Georgia Power and asked why. They told me to contact the bank and they also could not tell me why the payment was not approved as sufficient funds were available for the payment. Georgia Power charged me a $30 fee for this issue which I just accepted and decided to pay it and not make any complaints.

Today, I received a letter saying I must make a payment of $145 dollars due to "repated delinquencies" as stated in the letter. I have been a Georgia Power customer for a period of two billing cycles, this is the only one with a payment issue. I still am making the payment before the due date. I asked Georgia Power on the phone what was "repeated delenquencies" and the only response was that it has to happen now. I blame no fault really on Georgia Power, myself or my bank on the payment issue but now I have to make a deposit due to a false statement of "repeated delenquincies?" Obviously I would switch power companies in a heart beat but Georgia Power monopolizes the area so that is not a choice.

I further insisted to them that I do not want my $30 dollars back but just not to make this $145 deposit for something that I was completely able to pay for.
