Global STL; aka Total Merchant Services; aka nabancard.com Debited fees from bank account for two years when they were no longer merchant services company under the guise they were affiliated with new merchant company. Pennsylvania, Troy Michigan

Global STL/Total Merchant Services debited two separate credit card merchant fees from our non-profit company's operating account on a monthly basis for two years after a new merchant services company was contracted. At that time, it was alleged merchant billing was separate for different credit cards so unfortunately, it went unquestioned until now.  Today, Total Merchant Services admitted there were no credit card transactions and no activity after 2015 through them but yet continued to charge over $50 per month in merchant credit card fees through February 2018.

  The discovery occurred after hiring yet another credit card merchant company in January 2018 because we needed updated wireless processing equipment. I knew all the fees were included with the new company but our account was debited in February so I started the research. The only way I figured it out was by putting a tracer on the bank debit to determine who the company was. Global STL/Total Merchant Services indicated (today) they had an indefinite recurring contract and no notice of renewal was provided, necessary, or opted. No correspondence, no sales inquiry, no billing from Global/Total Merchant Services.  

Over $2000 in fees debited and we received virtually no services from them.  I quizzed the Global STL/Total Merchant Services representative about the blatant disregard for good business ethics because they would have gone on for years debiting our account.  I requested a credit for at least half of the fees but the rep said that was not going to happen. Much of this has to do with the original merchant services salesman who shall remain nameless.  He should have been responsible for canceling the merchant services company or advising our management to do so. Regardless, credit card merchant services companies have caused havoc in our company for a number of years. Technicians are usually great, customer service is not.
