We attended a marketing presentation by Global Vacation Network in November 2008. They promised 2 free airline tickets and $300 in free gas if we attended. We elected not to purchase their vacation package after they were not willing to show us a list of actual vacation properties that you could visit - they would only describe the amenities.

There is a HARD SELL to get you to buy into their vacation club. I guess that it is very hard for the average consumer to say NO to this hardball group of sales people.

The two airline tickets that were promised are virtually unusable. We received the vouchers in the mail and you have to include a check for $66 per person along with the other requested info to even be further considered for the vouchers. You have to choose three travel dates with a travel window of 60 days before the earliest chosen date. Then, IF the travel dates are available, you will receive the airline tickets approx 14 days PRIOR TO DEPARTURE!

Not sure about you, but I would not wait until 2 weeks prior to a vacation to see if I am getting free airline tickets! If you have to book normal tickets the prices would be very high.

Regarding the free gas certificates.... you have to give a ton of personal information to the issuing company along with all your demographics. You have to submit your gas receipts (from the same gas company) each month totalling at least $100 and then the company will send you a certificate for $25 each month.
