Gold Key Debt Collector Calling about a debt that does not exist. Arizona

Gold Key debt collectrors are based out of Florida.

The Better Business Bureau gave them an A+ then states they are not BBB accredited.

The person that called my house introduced himself, asked for someone that doesnt live here and procedded to tell me that because I wasnt who they were looking for, they couldnt even tell me why they were calling. He did however give me a name, Gold Key. Oh, did I mention they have been calling for about 2 months, twice a week listed as "Private Name, Pivate Number"? Well, they did.

I've looked up numerous searches on Google, Yahoo and Bing and have found that they have been subject to class action lawsuits because they sometimes harass people who have already paid their medical bills. They also have tried to get people to pay that have their bills covered by insurance. Another thing they do is calling for someone else and not giving up when told that person doesnt live here.

The rep said talking to the person they asked for was "time sensitive" and they "couldnt release any information unless the person allowed it." but thats all he would say. Beautiful catch 22 eh?

I've talked to debt collectors before. They are open and honest. So that made me weary. I wont be passing on the information and I asked that my number be removed because the person the call was for didnt live here. The guy said "Your request is documented." Then hung up on me.

It wasnt a request pal. You'll never speak to the person you want with that sort of secrecy. It arouses too much suspicion.
