GreenTree Servicing Company lies and may be committing fraud with regards to HOPE Program Rapid City South Dakota

I live in Michigan and I bought my doublewide back in 2001. At the time, Conseco was the mortgage lien holder. I bought the home for 30,000 with 17% interest. I balked at the rate, however, Conseco told me with on-time payments that they would take the rate down to prime. I made ALL payments on time for 6 years. I attempted to call them back multiple times after the first year and was told that they are a Servicing Company now and don't do rate reductions. However, they may be doing them soon and to call back. I have continured to call back and have gotten extremely rude service reps who seem to know nothing about what they are doing or how you go about it.

On GreenTrees website there is a large logo depicting HOPE FOR HOME OWNERSHIP, a program instituted and put into practice this year. Apparently without any documentation or information, I dont qualify.

I have told GreenTree that if they dont lower this rate, (over 7 years I owe $28,000.00 and have paid almost $28,000.00 in interest), they can have the home.

I dont really want to move, however, this black money hole is a bad investment at this point. I think the home may appraise for 15-22k with todays market. When I had it appraised 7 years ago, it appraised at 35k.

I was told to skip Junes payment and they would see what could be done as far as a rate reduction and I did. I immediately started to get harassing collection calls up to 15 times a day. I answered the first few, and everyone I talked to what I was told to do. They said it wasn't in their computer. Give me a break, this is how you run a business. The left does not know what the right is doing? So I have to be 30 days late to get a rate reduction???

I am still going through this and now have to call a rep on Monday to see what can be done.

I have about had it and am ready to get something else and telling them what to do with their money hole.
