GREENWICH SECURITIES INC FINAL WINNING NOTIFICATION NOTICE AND CHECK FOR $4,980.00. MORRISTON CONSHOCKEN Pennsylvania

I recieved a final winning notification letter on thursday, Febraury 26,2009, also enclosed was check made out to me for $4,980.00. The letter stated that I was one of the declared winners of the Shoppers Sweepstakes held on January 5,2009. After reading the letter I decided to call the number listed.

The person who's name was Barbara Jones assured me that the check was legit and that once I deposited the check into my checking account, that I was to call her back so that she could give me the address to where I needed to send the taxable amount of $2995.00 to be paid by MoneyGram.

I asked her was this one of those scams in which once the check was deposited she'd have access to clean out my entire checking account?

She again continued to declare that this was not a scam. Although the check looked authenic enough to be convencing , something about that deal just wasn't right. So I consulted some friends at work who suggested that I do an online investigation on Greenwich Securities Inc. and to my amazment and relief, I learned that I was not the only one who had been a selected target in this money scam .
