I applied for a free health insurance quote online, and was contacted by Health line one for health insurance, I was sold a limited liability policy for $232.55 plus a $99.95 non refundable sign up fee.  I was told the plan had 0 deductible, and 0 copay.  I paid the money for the plan after being sold this policy by an agent who led me to believe this was the best plan for me and my needs.

Later I started to inquire over the plan I had bought.  Health line one does not answer their phone, I have tried for days and the direct line extension I got from the sales agent was worthless since all I get is a recording that does not allow you to enter a direct extension.  I called the company offering the "insurance" and lucky for me Patriot Health answered their phone, and were very cordial and helpful.  The woman at Patriot health explained the policy I bought for 232.55/month, I get to see a Dr. 4 times a year and they only pay 75.00/dr. visit.  Other aspects of the limited liability plan were very minimal as far as what you actually get.  A Dr. visit is about 150.00 per visit so they only pay about 1/2 four times a year, but are charging you 232.55/month.  what they pay for surgeries is also pennies on the dollar from what I can tell, and you will go bankrupt with this limited liability plan if anything major happens to you.

I was able to cancel the plan and 232.55 was refunded to my credit card.  I lost the 99.95 non refundable fee. I have been trying to contact health line one to let them know how I feel about this, but there is no answer, and nobody responds to my emails either.

I am filing this report to alert people out there that this plan from Optimum health, and Patriot health is NOT HEALTH INSURANCE.  You need to do your research before signing up for a plan like this.  In my case I would have been better off just paying out of pocket for health care as opposed to the financial burden of carrying a plan like this that paid back so very little of your actual cost of health care.

I feel I have been ripped off of the 99.95 sign up fee.  Sure the company will be able to produce recordings that I did in fact sign up for the plan.  They were very good about making sure everything was recorded which should have alerted me to some funny business.

Buyer Beware when dealing with this company.  If you need customer service, I would look elsewhere.
