 I purchased a custom fit sub woofer enclosure loaded with two 10" Kicker subs from an Ebay store called HiFi Soundconnection.  The description for the box said it would fit 02-12 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab trucks.  The description also showed two pictures of dodge interiors, one that the box fits (like mine) and one that doesnt' fit (Mega cab version).  I utilized the "ask the seller a question" feature in the auction.  I gave the details of my truck and asked if the folding floor had to be removed in order for the box to fit my truck." The response was "In general,yes the floor does have to be removed in order for the box to fit flush"  I ordered the box and paid immediatly through PayPal.  The only thing good about this transaction, was the company did provide fast shipping. Once I received the box, I was very skeptical as to wether or not the box would fit.  My skeptacism was proven right once I tried to fit the box...It didn't fit under the rear seat of my truck as advertised. 

I immediatly called their customer support line and spoke with one representative.  He couldn't believe it didn't fit and asked me to email him some pictures of the box not fitting.  I obliged and sent five hi resolution photos of the box NOT fitting.  HiFi soundconnection then emailed me back asking for my VIN for the truck.  In that email, they included the description of the box which stated again that the box only fits 02-12 Dodge 1500 quad cabs.  I reponded that I had asked the question if it would fit my truck which is an 06 Dodge 2500, and recieved a generic response that it would fit provided the floor was removed.  So a day went by with out hearing back from customer service.

With no response from them, i called back and the spoke to a different customer service rep and was asked to send the pictures again.  So I did.  This representative seemed to really want to correc the problem and said that he would personnally work the issue.  After a day or so, I received an email stating that I should call and they would rectify the problem.  So I called and spoke to the same representative.  His attitude had changed, now in order for them to send a Return Autorization Number (RA) and work on sending a different box, I had to leave a positive feedback on Ebay.  I voiced my concern about doing that, because I felt once that was done, the help from this company would stop.   I was told again, that they wouldn't do anything else unless I left the feedback.  I in turn email the Customer Support again, questioning this procedure and that I wanted it in writing that this was their company policy. 

I didn't receive an email, but instead was called by another representative, that told me that this was the only way for me to get an RA and receive a refund...leave a positive feedback on Ebay about this transaction.  I told him that this was a strong arm tactic to get feedback, and still feel that if I leave a feedback, that I would be left with a custom fit box that DOESN'T fit.  He assured me that his company would take care of the problem.  So I BENT and left the feedback.  BIG MISTAKE on my part. 

After the feedback was left, he told me that I would be responsible for shipping the item back ($50) and I would be charged a 20% restocking because its store policy to not except subwoofer boxes back.  I argued that the box doesn't fit as advertised and was bought based on the response from the email before I purchased the item.  He stated the response didn't state that it would fit my truck, that it only said the floor would have to be removed for it to fit flush under the seat.  He also told me that I would be better off selling the item personally or modifing the box or my truck to make this Custom Fit box fit my truck.  By the way, this was the last I've heard from this company.  They never sent the RA number to send the box back.  My fear of being left in the dust after leaving a feedback on Ebay was correct.  Now I know how this company has a 99% positive feedback rating!

Why would anyone order a CUSTOM FIT box; and be excepting of the fact that you have to modify the box or vehicle it was custom made for!  If I had done research on sites like this, I wouldn't have bought anything...not even a paperclip from this company!   Be warned, do not do business with this company!
