Hunt & Henriques bought a debt from Discover, we owed them approx $3800.00. They immediately got a judgment in the amount of $6469.91 in Sept of 04. They garnished my husbands wages and received $5319.10 by Nov of 03, at that time the IRS garnished my husbands wages and they come first, so I called Hunt & Henriques and they said they would consider it paid in full since we had paid the principal and some interest.

In April 2006 we get another judgment from them for $6k again, I called them and they told me if I wasn't such a loser I wouldn't have this problem, I explained we had paid this balance at least down, but I thought it had been paid in full, they refused to talk with me and hung up. We received a Acknowledgment of credit and declaratioin of accrued interest in Sept of 06 showing a credit of $4764.45 with a remaining balance of $1176.02.

I tried again to contact them to set something up, no response. Approx 2 months later they garnish my husbands wages again for $3126.47. I called them, sent them letters and paperwork to prove we had paid more than the credited amount and ask them to give us a break down of where this amount came from.

30 days later, I received a letter asking me where I got the pay stub showing we had paid that amount and to take it up with the employer at the time. Not there problem and then no break down of the remaining balance. This is a horrible company and I have written letters to the Federal Trade Commission, to the Governors office, We need help, what are our options and what do we have the right to do.

If anyone knows please help us. I can prove all of this with documentation
