On January 13th 2009 I looked at my checking account balance online. I was shocked to find an authorized deduction in the amount of $29.99.
Since I had no clue I went online to attempt to find who this company was.
I discovered within seconds there were 100's or reports in just the past few weeks from people all over the company they are doing this too.
I would have been in the negative but was one of the lucky ones who caught the charge on time. $29.99 is a lot of money for me right now. I contacted my bank and because I had caught it today they can stop the charges. If I had not checked my balance until tomorrow I would have been out.

I contacted the 800 listed and was told by a rep there that he needed to verify my information. I said since they had already illegally obtained and attempted to take $29.99 from my account I was wary of giving anything too personal. I did give my name and address (all public record) Once I gave him this information he insisted on January 11th 2009 I had successfully signed up for there service. I explained I was not even near a computer at this time and that him having my name and number on file (which I just gave him) proved nothing and was all public record. What is not public record or legal is trying to deduct money from my checking account. I asked him if he had my signature on file electronically or otherwise authorizing anything and he insisted he did not but at their corporate office they do. I said I wanted to contact their corporate office and they insisted there was no way I could that. They were very rude and are running an illegal business deducting money without proper authorization from 100's maybe 1000's of victims.

He insisted that he had the IP address of the computer I successfully signed up on. I told him to give me the IP address to ensure it was mine, He said for security he could not. Yeah OK. I told them I had already contacted the appropriate departments and he starts going off onto this sales pitch. And kept telling me that I had an account with them and successfully signed up on the 11th. I was not even near a computer!
I told him I didn't care what they were selling but I never even heard of them, could care less The bottom line is you illegally obtained and tried to deduct money from my account. Lose my information or there would be bigger issues. People were already catching on and they would be out of business soon. How ironic they sell identity protection services of some sort. What to protect us from companies like them?
