Infinite Talent appears to be a scam. They have been posting on craigslist.org recently, and apparently they have a history with Monster.com. Models, actors, etc. looking for a "break" are encouraged to meet these women at their office (location changes frequently -- do a background check!) and are then basically recruited into scamming other Hollywood hopefulls for no pay.

If you are looking for a break into Hollywood, keep these things in mind: 1) Real agencies will not ask you for your credit card info, 2) Look into other names the agency may have gone by in the past, 3) Do not work for them as a recruiter of other potential talent, 4) Any legit agency is not going to sign every person who walks in (Infinite Talent apparently does this -- they have said that "just because a person is missing is two front teeth doesn't mean he can't be an actor), and 5) Any legit agency will include its contact information when it posts listings for new talent -- Infinite Talent stays annonymous in their public postings.

Infinite Talent has gone by many names, has changed its location muliptle times, and has left a trail of fraud and anger along the west coast. Warnings about this "agency" have been around for years, but people in the LA area are now being taken in. Check out their history in Oregon and Washington -- you'll be surprised that they haven't been stopped yet.

I foolishly sent them my picture and made an appointment to meet with them. However, since I had responded to a craigslist posting I wasn't sure exactly who was getting my email, so I did some research. Infinite Talent does have a website, but it's just fluff -- no real information on the company or its accomplishments. They also have a very generic email -- anyone can get that. Pretty shady.

Another strange thing -- my invitation to meet them was sent via email at a very late hour. Who works that late? I only thought about it for a second and quickly replied because I was so excited that a talent agent wanted to meet me. Get this -- they replied back within minutes -- What talent agent is at her computer at midnight just lining up appointment after appointment? That was funny to me. But, I thought, maybe the rep who is contacting me is just in another time zone. So the next day I started researching them. Check out these links:

Not too promising. And that's just a sample of what I found. Do some research and you'll be shocked.

After seeing this, I emailed Infinite Talent again. I explained that I was uncomfortable with all the bad press I had seen and asked them to answer a few of my questions regarding their company's name change and whether or not they had ever gone bankrupt. Funny, but when I emailed them to make an appointment I got a reply within minutes; when I emailed them with my concerns I heard nothing back. Guess they don't waste their time on people once they've been figured out.

Models -- don't be fooled. I'm sure you're beautiful, but don't rely on these girls to confirm it for you. They accept every person that comes in. That's right -- make you feel good and pretty, then send you out thinking you're a model. You don't need that. Pretty doesn't have to be stupid -- don't let these women make you feel like you aren't good enough to make it big AND let them take your money.
