International Magazine Company is a scam. Largo Florida

i received a phone call from international magazine company telling me that i was entered in a sweepstakes for being a visa card holder. they told me that i would get a free diamond watch and i could possibly win a million dollars.

they then told me that in order for me to win the watch and and possibly win a million dollars i would have pay for a magazine subscription for 4 years to help the publishers keep the magazines in rotation. since i had entered my name in some sweepstakes i thought that maybe this would be one of them. i was gullible and gave them my credit card number.

later on that day i noticed that their website looked fake and did not have any information about IMC. so i started doing some research on the internet and i learned that they are a scam.

i tried calling them so they would cancel my subscription and they wouldnt do it. they said that they recorded my conversation and i verbally agreed to subscribe and make payments of 79.73 for a whole year and that i would get the magazines in 60 to 90 days of my supscription. if i desired to end the subscription and not pay the 877 remaining dollars then they would automatically send me to collections.

what they did to me was similar to every other story i had read about on the internet and that is how i confirmed that they actually are a scam. i also learned that its illegal for a company to ask you to pay for something in order to win a prize. now im just worried that they would damage my credit and they are sending me letters for a past due amount .
